#Mastery Amulet buff

they literally do that already- oh wait, you meant that a power pip with the amulet would work with... If you got a myth mastery, you'd be able to use keeper even without a myth pip?
Staying with that example, myth wizards proper can't even do that
I'm not sure what buff it should be, but considering how hard and rare those were or how you paid crowns to get them and then how the value tanked with school pips. i totally agree they should give them a buff to offset the value hit they took.
Mastery amulets have been expanded to more than the ones in the crown shop a few time already, namely the Aquila, omen, and empyrea sets. Each time those were added, wouldn't you also consider them to be reduced in value?
And when kingsisle made sword ferns outdated by adding blade tc to vendors (long time ago) I don't think any compensation was given 🤷♂️
yes, that's what I meant
I think it's a good way to incentivize the use of mastery amulets. when I was a kid, mastery amulets were almost like what made you a cool wizard, at least to me. the school-specific wisp colors were iconic and a symbol of status
I think mastery amulets deserve to be in the limelight again
in what ways have mastery amulets been expanded upon? to give you a few stats that barely matteror maybe a couple utility spells like a blade or something?
they havent been expanded upon in any significant way mechanically since their inception
This was meant to be a reply to the comment right above that, mastery amulets are no longer a crowns only thing, there's droppable alternatives
A blade is an incredibly good spell to get from a mastery amulet. Mastery amulets are still run in the most difficult content currently in the game as they are still very good, and they really don't need a buff, especially not one that invalidates the need for archmastery, as spells that use archmastery are balanced around the fact that you need to generate the pip and not the pip being free with mastery amulets
oh really? mastery amulets are still run? i basically never see them
hardest content as in raids and such? I havent dealt with wizard101 much farther than a bit of 1st age pvp and casual story and gear grinding
so i can't speak on any experience there
yeah i guess blades are nice to get from a mastery amulet but so many different sources of equipment give blades
your latest school pet gives a blade so literally everyone past a certain point in the story has an item card blade
and dual schooling is quite impractical in casual content, only remedied by the fact that you get pins that boost other schools now
i dont even own a fire mastery amulet but fire pip + 2 (technically 3 since no fire mastery makes it eat your starting power pip unless you have good fire pip conversion) but I can farm monkey spiders with meteor as a life wizard, making my school's potato/magma pea grind as fast as any fire's
they have always had drop options but rare and the ' 'upgraded' versions are presumably valued more and lower drop accordingly. and the analogy of TCs doesn't apply IMHO. I feel they had a unique function that had now been built in for free. I agree school pips reqd spells should still req school pips (just like your own school does) but would like to see some added perk to a mastery amulet. maybe boost the school pip rate for that school if it is selected or have it's own school pip rate so life mastery amulet could convert non school pip to life while the deck has fire selected and gens fire pips (i.e. chance for fire and life pips without switching)
Well as a Fire Wizard, my life mastery lets me easily use 5 pip spells like regenerate and hunting wyrm early, and I can safely generate my Fire pips instead of life pips for lore spells.
They’re pretty dang useful, and honestly I’d say they’re even better with arch-mastery
