Gwendolyn is my name and I just think it'd be rad to be able to name my wizards accordingly, which may sound silly but it's really important to me, We have npcs named Gwendolyn too so I just don't understand why it's not in the game.

iirc We reached the cap when we did the update - I don't remember if they added to the name list or just used the rest of the spots (I think they added??? I would need to ask.)

It was already edited/updated, yes we can add more, but it was kinda a big deal to the the updated names for the name update

Technically it’s possible, but since it took like 15 years for the first “new names” don’t count on it being soon lol
Imagine if “adding new names” was on a to do list and it took 15 years to get to, then someone adds it again to the list (not really how it works, but it’s a good way to think about it)
Lots of stuff to add to the game, but not enough time - but also we just added new names within the last year (Year and a half?)

Nope, it wouldn’t be easy and it would be higher risk. If we were to add more names we also risk breaking all the other names because they’re stored on a shared string table.

sounds like it's something that could be added to the game in the future with date TBD? and that way they can all be in one place so that the next time names are able to be added there's a big list of suggestions instead of all the tiny threads that keep popping up
it does sound like something that would be simple but things almost never are behind the scenes. Gwen feels like a really cool wiz name tho! And I'm sure people will always want to add more
