exactly what the title says. Includes Darkmoor, Polaris, Mirage, and Empyrea.

165 damage per pip is a little silly

#

Also bottom path scion just becomes worse than top path scion

That's like 35 dpp higher than storm's shadow-enhanced spells I'm pretty sure

If KI gives ice that, no one will ever complain about ice ever again

ionic mica
#

I think it would actually take the cake for the highest non-gambited base damage out of any spell in the game, including X spells

#

At 2,310

#

here's storm

#

note: Iron Sultan path b-1 is incorrectly labeled as no PVP and with 1 shad rather than 2

shy prawn
#

fire too

can i ask why some of the spell icons dont even remotely match the actual card it's based on?

#

Is there a functional usage for the bottom path of Scion of Storm

#

It does 1590 total, which is 30 more than top bath, but is just insane bolt (From what I'm reading)

#

11 pips for insane bolt that does half the damage that the gambited top path lol

#

??

shy prawn
#

my thought process was to have a powerful hit that doesn't need the gambit, but make it risky

#

which should probably be doing more than the top path without a gambit, but less than that same path with a gambit

ionic mica
#

But the top path is the powerful hit without the gambit too lol

#

Guaranteed rather than needing to roll a 2/3 three times

shy prawn
#

ok, I'll revise it when I get to that

ionic mica
#

It could be a mixture of both old and new insane bolt where the enemy takes more damage if the 2/3 triggers, but you take less when the 1/3 triggers

shy prawn
#

awesome idea, I'll remember that for rebalancing

ionic mica
#

That way you can increase the damage but also not get annihilated if you roll the 1/3 more than once

now I've got life!

Looks really useful

Gonna concept some ideas I had

shy prawn
#

now here's death

I feel like the Bottom Path for Climalclysm would likely be Universal Weaknesses instead of Chronatic Weaknesses (since Chromatic Weaknesses would be Death’s whole thing)

#

All in all though, these are some really cool ideas, though some are a bit confusing to me (like what does Fire Scion’s Path B do exactly?)

ionic mica
#

Five turn negative aura that auto detonates all DOTs is what i understood

#

Bottom path for scion of death just falls into the same category as the storm one: in which case is it better than doing massive damage with the top path gambit, especially if the gambit is made much more attainable without purposefully taking damage

#

The top path already is a drain that basically fully heals you so there really isn't a reason for a blade that turns your next damage spell into a drain; in every fight where you're using scion except maybe Omen, you're doing it with the intent to one shot the boss

shy prawn
shy prawn
#

another thing about that drain blade, the heal back can also add to the already existing heal back of drain spells like ghoul or vampire

ionic mica
#

Ok but that doesn't exactly make it more appealing than just using top path for direct damage

shy prawn
#

and finally, balance

Why are the pics different?

Nested Fury bottom path having a DPP of 445 😭

shy prawn
ionic mica
#

Yes it does

#

That's 2670 total damage

shy prawn
#

it deals 890 damage, where are you seeing 445 per pip?

ionic mica
shy prawn
#

that's meant to be 890 fire, ice, or storm damage

#

it's still a spectral blast like hit, it isn't hydra

ionic mica
#

Mmm, I guess this is kingsisle at fault then since they use the same exact icon

shy prawn
#

huh... now I get the confusion

ionic mica
#

Needs to be varied damage for it to mean different elemental hits ig

#

Same icon for each

shy prawn
ionic mica
#

But all the ones that hit triple hits have varying damage depending on school chosen

shy prawn
#

apparently, they regret doing that in the first place

Regardless, Gaze of Fate should probably be echoing something not placing multiple DOTs/HOTs w/o echoing

shy prawn
#

1, it's only placing HoTs, and 2, I was inspired by super nova, which pops auras, so I thought "why not a spell that pops globals?" though I guess it could echo the global? or the enemy's aura? I want to echo something that hasn't been echo'ed before.

ionic mica
#

those are dots though..?

#

it is placing both lol
