#Complete the Classic Game Graphics

Although there is an option that reverts the game’s graphics back to how they used to be (Classic Mode) there are some parts not reverting back like the Character Selection Screen or even something which I find very important to the Classic aesthetic THE SKY. For some reason the new sky is kept while having old graphics on, making the lighting of the game very weird with its orangy colours.

I know many players don’t care but for the sake of that wonderful character selection theme & the aesthetics that we all used to love please bring back those features. Thank you for your time.

I'm pretty sure classic mode is fully abandoned at this point. Tbh I'd rather them focus on new stuff than focus on re-adding old stuff.

Like the old character models are gone, they aren't gonna add two sets of assets for every item just so everything works with the old character models; or a new set of assets for old krokotopia

They would literally need to recreate a lot of stuff cuz some of the actual map geometry actually changed

I can't imagine it's taking up a significant amount of space. But I do think it should be removed. Removing the options removes the expectation that more "classic mode" will be introduced with future world revamps.

The argument is in bad faith. The reason no one uses classic mode is because its not actaully classic. The only thing "classic" you get is zone textures and the wc commons/golem tower/ ravenwood theme. You dont get classic spell sounds, animations, character models, user interaface, or even triton avenue theme. Its just not classic. So saying "no one uses classic mode" as a reason is just bad. No one uses it because it sucks

This is an absurd amount of work for something that still most people wont use. They can't even do most these things such as old character models because the models are different and every gear item would need to be made for both the new and old models. And I'm not the one saying nobody uses classic mode, ki has the data and has said it themselves, a very very very small percentage of the playerbase uses classic mode

Areas such as krokotopia went through multiple terrain and area changes, in order for classic mode to work in these areas they would need to literally remake the areas using outdated graphics from scratch

It is a lot of additional effort for a feature that doesn't benefit the company or a vast quantity of the players

You're not wrong but you're missing the point. We have no idea how many people would pay classic mode because the classic mode option is not actually classic. There's basically 20 files in the game that are classic out of all of wizard city
