Mana as a stat is completely meaningless in the game. It only exists as a limit to the markers we leave for teleporting.
Suggestion: Limit mana A LOT, to actually make us think about which spells we should use. Also add mana to enemies, and make them lose by default if they use it all up - this way, tanking would actually become viable again. As it stands, resist is a terrible stat.
It could actually spice PVE up a little, instead of the blade + monotony that's been predominant for eons now.
Also separate teleport markers from mana entirely. They really shouldn't be tied.

There's nothing the really "get done" in the suggestions channel. This is a space for players to give the devs ideas. The devs I'm sure periodically scan this at the very least, and if they like an idea, they can then tell the rest of the dev team about it.

I don't like the idea of reducing mana, but I think you can do something else with mana
Gotta remove mana entirely, replace it with spell slots. You can cast a limited number of spells of each rank per battle and then once ya run out of 'em you can only cast rank 0 spells and cantrips.

Agreed, but this isn't DND or Pathfinder, it's wiz 😂 wiping with a blanket can work really well too, it doesn't mean we should
maybe they should add different scalings, like having a spell or maybe an set of gear where you gain damage or some other stat scaling on your max mana, or increasing damage the lower your mana is
Maybe thats too out there for the combat system but I think combat needs an overhaul as a whole anyway
I do think mana needs to have more uses other than just casting Rank 1+ spells and making teleport marks

Mana is pretty irrelevant and i honestly wouldnt mind to see it go. We already have a way to limit spell casting in the form of pips. Refilling mana is just annoying and time consuming without really serving its purpose (at least imo) of causing people to talk with other players in the world hubs. It shouldnt be a lot of work to remove it either.
My only issue is we know if they remove mana, marking location becomes energy based.
No way they make it free.
