Steel Giant is a spell that is an AoE DoT. Also, saying Balance shouldn't have a DoT is pretty silly. Balance is the Jack of All Trades but Master of None school so us having a DoT is fine. The only thing we don't have is a drain because that is strictly unique to Death.
nope. Since its an aoe dot it has a lower value. Therefore you get your dot there as the jack of all trades. You dont need a better dot since balance isnt a specialist school according to your logic
You seem to not understand what Jack of All Trades but Master of None means. It means we specialize in every utility but can't do it as effectively as a school that is known for that utility. Meaning, our version is less impactful but still useful. Balance excels at support but also dabbles in what the other schools are known for because Balance combines all the universal powers.
Thats literally the point i just made. You have your dot, therefore you have a dot component in your arsenal. Jack of all trades does not mean you “specialize” in all utility. Jack of all trades means you have all of them in your arsenal, but to a lesser extent than a specialist (a fire in this case). You have your dot with iron giant, which means that you do not have another. Just like a triathalon athlete will never be as good at running as someone who specializes solely in running, balance should not have dots (or any form of utility) to an equal or greater extent than a specialist.
The first definition says that they can do many types of work, not that they can do it well. The second one’s source is completely invalid. Its some random dude giving his opinion, not an actual definition. It is a well known fact that specialization = efficiency. If you cant understand that, then that’s where this discussion falls apart and stops being productive.
You are arguing semantics in an attempt to be right. I provided proof and you say it's invalid because it doesn't fit your narrative. Do not reply to me. The conversation is over now.
Semantically youre just wrong lmao, but okay. Youre the one who used a random obscure source to build your narrative.
“Master of none”
I told you not to reply. It's all semantics.
What's so hard to understand about being a general specialist?
a general specialist isnt a real thing. Thats not how specialists work. Being a specialist means you devote everything into honing your craft.
And if you consider yourself a general specialist you just arent on the same level as a real specialist
But its alright
We probably wont agree
So lets just call it here
Reread what you just said. Slowly.
