It's that progression shouldn't be roadblocked for those questing and need to find people in the commons. There is no expectation for the last world of an arc being hard.
Im solo’ing the entire world and doing just fine. Only needed help for 2 bosses so far.
Which ones
It isnt that difficult at all and honestly probably could’ve solo’d the 2 I did get help on just didnt feel like changing my deck that much. The world is not too difficult, alter your deck to have more then 7 cards and youll do fine.
When I soloed through the first iteration in TR it was fine. I went through everything. The second one was fine as well except for Arcane Toad and Kroaker. I am coming at this from a utilitarian perspective because by making standard mode be easier benefits both casual players on both an individual and collective level, and hardcore players can enjoy the story, farm easier, and challenge mode exists too. There is more net satisfaction by making standard mode easier.
The first version of test realm was far too easy, couldve solo’d that blindfolded and without hands. If you want easy mobs just stay on Unicorn way. We are level 160 going to 170, it should require a little thought instead of the mindless blade into 7 pip aoe everything dies.
This is fine and hasnt been changed from the second version of test so if it was fine then its fine now. Two bosses that require help if you dont want to think outside the box isnt a big wall - casual players like playing with friends soo play with friends? Lol
It's not about making the mobs be an alpha striking fest because it is already one and most people are used to and do prefer alpha striking (Dev twitter poll). That's why the Wallaru spells are AOEs and that alpha striking is still relevant. For the bosses it's not about being thoughtful, it's about the ease of which it is done. the bosses in Novus are more like puzzles whereas once you've "solved" it, you have a good chance of winning regardless of rng. In the long run, it makes farming and questing easier for everyone.
Casual players encompass a variety of people. There needs to be something that accommodates everyone. Standard mode with accessible difficulty does just that.
For the 4th time now, and the last time as this is now just going in circles, it is accessible difficulty. EVERYONE asked for the world to be harder because on release in test it was far, far too easy. It is not impossible to do now and Im solo'ing it with ease, you simply need to think differently and change your deck a bit for some fights, which seeing as this is the end of an arc and a lvl 170 world, is FINE. It should be a little difficult.
Casual players typically play with friends, theres 2 bosses + final probably idk im not there yet that require you to use teamup, and if youre stuck other people prob want help to so use the in game feature to get help, or use the official discord youre talking in maybe.
I mean isn't the entire point of the "advanced combat" system so that the casuals can get through the story and the people who are good at the game can farm for BiS gear?
As much as I don't want to provoke anything, the real test to see if the difficulty needs to be toned down is the reaction people are having rn in live. Test represents, according to RB himself, only a small fraction of people, so what happened in test may not really last in live.

Havent seen anyone other then you saying its too difficult so, so far according to your logic its passing the real test as well. Worlds should get progressively harder, not be repeats as youre suggesting.
To go onto the advanced combat thing, this world is nothing like advanced combat its way, way easier. In advanced combat you cant blade against certain schools, or trap, or dot, or hot, or have x amount of pips, and you have to know the roshambo wheel to keep it all memorized.

As far as I am concerned, there was an arguement in the Wallaru subsection about the difficulty of things, with Lormcloud on your behalf and about 5 or so other people (inc'l myself) dissagreeing. Just search up anything about Desperation.

World is fine. Going in circles as I said so going to leave now. Again. If you need help with Desperation just use traps and a 6 pip shad hit. Done, easy, dusted.
