I tried sending YouTube link, but it deleted my message
oh yeah of course
redo your message without the link
and post it in #📸community-media or #🤷🏻random , i'll forward it here if needed

I would like an option for realistic raytraced audio.
I would work a little differently, because in the videos they use voxel grid for the raytracing
instead of hexagonal blocks
Don’t use raytraced audio just change sounds by detecting features near by
why?
Just very laggy and not necessary for the audio to collide with Evoriment when you can just make it simple and get the same results
making it simple wont get the same results and I think people with powerful computers will really appreciate it
for example having an echo in a cave
yes you would? the effects are in games and they dont use raytraced audio you can have a cave echo with a raytracer?
also the game is way to laggy for that rn
well no sh*t, its only in second playtest
It will probably stay like that for like forever for lower preforming devices and just haveing 10 fps removed because you wanted to hear alittle sound that was fully raytraced isn't optimal
No it wont, one of their focuses is optimization on low end devices. Plus there are plenty of ways to optimize raytraced audio
That maybe ture but it's always faster to apply a effect directly instead of simulating the effect with complex coding and work
if your device isn't powerful enough you could turn off the raytraced audio
Then why have the option in the first place
for people that want it?
I mean modders could always do it but it won't really change anything if there's another method that recreates it mostly prefect
if modders could always do it is your argument then this entire ideas channel shouldnt be a thing
Livestreams he has a section for modded addon ideas
