#Boolean operators for a redstone system

One things that sorta always annoyed me with Minecraft's redstone system was the lack of simple to use boolean operators. I think it'd be nice (if a redstone style system is planned to be added) that we could have AND, OR and NOT boolean operators. It'd be nice if these were their own block.

yes and no

#

these are simple to make in mc anyway

stone laurel
#

yes but it'd be nice to have a dedicated block to lower the size of redstone builds

although it would still be nice to have them

for instance this an XOR gate, having this as a single block would be far far easier

steady wing
#

yes but also

#

it would be relatively complicated to make as a single block

#

you would have to figure out a method to affect only part of the hitbox (so you could define the sides for the asymetrical ones)

lemme draft up a little idea for one in blender i got an idea for it

okay so the block would have an input and an output. The block will rotate to face the direction you are facing, with the two inputs always facing towards you

GG @stone laurel, you just advanced to level 2!

essentially giving you this

yes

this sounds super useful

Sounds perfect, bump

Absolutely yes

If the input and output sides could be configured to be any of the six (eight if you count up and down) that would make it a thousand times better too

Could see a wrench/debug stick-like tool item to configure it. Or just right click one of the sides to be the output. Or you can toggle through possible states like comparators and repeaters

#

Whichever is more convenient, I like the right click to define the output one personally

The create mod has some great redstone components that would also be great to have in.

because those are amazing

Cool idea, i definatly want to add some sort of "redstone" system, My first game LogicBots focused on logic circuits
