The bumps from HollowFall and TheRealBean brought this post to my attention. I like this idea a lot. I hope we get pillars of many materials, not just “pillar.”
Of course, it depends on what rock types get added. So we’ll see

I think they'd just be a variant of stone types, like polished or brick versions

I was actually thinking of trying to build a grand hall when the game came out, and these would work really well for the design

A base block that kind of spills into adjacent hexes would be cool. Then you could make anything into a pillar
