#Ability to add shaders

Oh for sure
That suggestion needs more explanation, shaders is a too wide term
Pretty sure shaders are gonna be vanilla and automatically on
Shaders are just a part of rendering pipeline, they always existed in Unity. Everything that you see on screen, any object, any effects is rendered with shaders. From planet atmosphere to default objects. So “adding shaders” don’t have clear meaning in that case. It can mean add custom rendering to specific voxels, ability to alter existing shaders, custom post effects or anything else
Agreed
I mean there's no rule about ideas not being complex, but this is just too simple
Modding has been confirmed, and if there are mods, there will be shaders, if the suggestion was more detailed (like supported shaders, being able to make shaders, or shader packs) then it wouldn't be the same, but because of the idea being too shallow there's no actual difference
Yeah
The game has ray tracing by default lol
There's no point of custom shaders (that are not in mods that add new planets)
Nah I mean the ability to make shaders and put them in the game for a realistic experience or some werid adic trip
When did ray tracing come?
A while ago
Like before world biome gen
Was there a video?
it's in base game
GG @icy junco, you just advanced to level 29!
I'm a playtester
When did ray tracing come?
Atmosphere rendering
Idk, it was when I started testing
Lemme check the exact moment
@loud flicker
Btw, sorry for the "lol" i thought you were masonblue asking me the same thing :<
Anyways now both of you have the answer
(I'm not sure is correct)
Unity actually has a built-in ray tracing for HDRP pipeline, but it works only in screenspace, so it is not a hight-quality raytracing
