I think I saw lakes/ponds in some parts of the videos, but I wanted to write this anyway 🙂

Addition to biome generation of rivers and lakes. Lakes could maybe be added in the last 1-2 stages of biome generation so they don't become too big, maybe a small random chance to spawn water in a landlocked area, and treat small areas of water as lakes rather than oceans (so less chance of sandy beaches)

Rivers could have sources and mouths selected at the end of the biome generation process. The source could be high up, with the mouth being at the nearest ocean. The rivers could actively go downhill, potentially even going down cliffs creating natural waterfalls. The rivers could get larger when they are close to the mouth.

Cool idea, Rivers in Minecraft feel very still, and flat

Having a half dozen bug lakes would be better than dozens or little ones in my opinion

Ken said water will act similar to minecraft, I'm not sure if water will flow per se.

Yay! I was wondering if that was was coming later after the most recent video. Makes sense! It would be cool if lakes could vary i size, so most lakes will be very small, but there is a chance that something like the great lakes could occur.

Actually, this is way too ambitious, but you could model an "ice age" happening by having some lakes occurring in the direction glaciers would travel from the poles, such as the finger lakes in New York. Could also have some deep fjords occur this way, too.

I saw somebody recommended somewhere that the moon's tides should have an impact on the planet's water, but it may be hard to have changing tides in such a blocky format
