Some of the details are very distinct so the tiling is super noticeable, but unfortunately not much you can do about it

Seems OP is afk but it's AI upscaling with a lot of manual adjustment and some original textures
What AI you're using there?
Just the last textures, the HUGE ammount of what I did was totally using photoshop
he just uses chatGPT to recreate enviorment textures, the more I compare it with base textures the worse it looks imo
Using the right prompt and doing some treatment after with photoshop could be usefull I guess
While it is useful I think you can adhere better to the artstyle with upscaling and actually remaking textures, like you've been doing

the ground textures are prob the biggest problem tbh
ive hand painted some textures so far
working on hand painting the rasvet brick wall because it is such a unique texture that every other texture ive tried looks ugly in comparison
i have also fixed some textures which looked wrong, ive painted most of the characters hair or started to, just need to finish them. ive repainted most of the paintings in the game, made the posters look more distressed
if i wasnt so pedantic i could prob have a version out in 2 weeks but im constantly going back tand changing things 😩 😅

i do think all the paintings are either from games or done by hiro usuda
i asked hiro why she used her art in the game and she said that it was partly to avoid copyright issues
but i have drawn a blank on most of the framed art, they are just too deterioratated to tell
some are historical photos, but where they got them from, have no idea so ive just resorted to replicating and interprating the pixelated forms rather then go on a goose chase

heres a good site for textures. it has a collection of cd-roms from the last 30 years
an overwhelming amount of textures
found another texture cd that mgs3 uses
from a 3dsmax cd

Textures can be changed to High Resolution in Custom mode.
