Sure!!!
I'd love too
I'm not into ML but wants to learn python
Hey! I saw you're also starting DSA. I'm currently learning DSA in Java, and I would be happy to learn it and do leetcode together!
Hey I’m just getting started too, and I’ve been hitting walls
Can we drop our latest updates here or
Hey! What are you currently trying to learn?
And what are you struggling with?
So I’m getting into AI Engineering and I have to start with python. I really want to do it from scratch but lately it feels so difficult to focus. Then I’m also conflicted if I should just straight up use AI but I really want to understand the basics and everything
Yeah, it is possible to just use AI for coding, but knowing the language, at least how to read it, would be so much more helpful
hii yall this summer i am also focusing on starting python and study DSA although i am a little confused i havent started Java yet i know C++, so should i focus on DSA in C++ or the other?? any help or advice is appreciated (also i would love to connect!!)
hii!! the language you should learn DSA in depends on the language you want to use it in, or the language you plan on writing in during interviews, or the language you want to focus on in general. if you haven't decided that yet, I'd recommend learning DSA in Python, as I've heard it's easier than in C++. and still at the end of the day, lots of DSA is just algorithm knowledge in general, so it doesn't really matter what language you use, what matters is that you know how to implement an algorithm logic-wise.
I would love to connect as well :)
Okay great!! thank you so much for the advice, will definitely keep this in mind :DD
also what resources are you guys using to learn python??
I used to learn python a long time ago, so I don't quite remember what I used back then.
Do you already have any resources in mind that you're considering using?
Same i learned python for two years back in highschool so i actually need to brush up my skills, i have heard about harvard's cs50 course or coursera, even yt has some decent videos
I haven't tried the resources you mentioned, but I would recommend looking into Exercism if you already have some programming knowledge and skills. This is what I would've used if I tried relearning python
yess Exercism really is a good platform! There's ton of exercices and u can have a mentor, I tried and its really useful to have feedback
What language did you try learning on it? :)
Python, I actually started learning with it!
Oh, that's awesome! I'm glad to hear you liked it as well :D
How far are you into your python journey?
For the theory I use FreeCodeCamp and CS50 from Harvard yt videos and Im in OOP (man this part is hardd TvT)
and uu?
I haven't used python since I learned it a few years ago. I'm focusing on Java atm. I've learned all the basics, including OOP, and now I mostly just use it for DSA and solving problems on Leetcode
oh woww, thats nicee! I also use LeetCode for Python but it just driving me crazy Im not that good at problem solving lol
Exercism and Leetcode are great platforms for problem solving
In which tech field are u?
I started getting into tech only a year ago, I learned C and Java, but I still haven't decided what field I want to go in. I've been considering software and backend development, but I'm not sure yet
What about you?
Well, lots of Leetcode problems, especially medium+ ones, require DSA knowledge and practice, so you shouldn't get discouraged if you can't solve certain problems. You'll get better with practice!
Im thinking of going to a cybersecurity field, like SOC Analyst junior and then Cloud Security Engineer or somth like this
thankss
Oooh, that sounds really interesting! I hope you enjoy it :)
Hiii, I'm getting into AI Engineering as a total beginner. I would love to join a study group
thanksss!
