I find both Triboulet and Chicot the best legendries I can have in my 8 ante runs.

Chicot allowed me to not worry about new bosses as a new player. As I became experienced, it's an opportunity to try builds that would have been countered by multiple bosses.

Triboulet is great since many builds have face cards as part of the main scoring. Besides the mechanics I like the "I mistaken you for the queen" story

and canio and yorick are very general in that sense

canio + pareidolia = free win
canio is also just absurdly strong in general if you have any source of tarot or spectral cards, or god forbid a trading card. the mult he can get is absolutely disgusting.

yorick is insanely powerful for all the same reasons but if you took a petroglyph voucher or eternal burglar then he won't really do that much, and his top end is nowhere near the same as canio's, but he's still the 2nd fastest source of permanent scaling xmult.

so i'd say those two are the best.

chicot is 3rd though because some of the boss blinds are really stupid sometimes

perkeo requires being smart to make effective use out of (I somehow have died every single time I've gotten him in a gold stake run 😭 )

and triboulet is, for ante 8 standards, pretty much just a slightly better photograph.

i cant offer an opinion on canio because i only got it and tried to actively use it once... on abandoned deck

i got its gold sticker on a later run but that run was also dry on card removal so it did basically nothing

chicot is easily the best one imo as regardless of what blind you get, you nullify it so it cant be a problem in the first place

triboulet is just photograph but better

perkeo is debatable; it depends on what your setup was for that run

and yorick is just solid scaling all around unless you get it late

canio seems somewhat unreliable if youre deprived of card removals like i was though

For real tho, Triboulet and Perkeo are up there. Yorick and Canio take a while to set up

on red deck, Yorick gets slightly better but for the rest of the decks you need some discard support to make him worth while

on average you get +1.5x mult per ante with 2 discards per round if youre discarding 5 cards every time

pair meta! also if you have 9 hand size or more on checkered deck you can discard as many cards as you want and still be able to play a flush because you'll be guaranteed to either have at least 5 spades or 5 hearts in your hand at all times
also having 0 discards for 1 round isnt gonna change much overall
