Seasonal events could be added to Balatro, such as Halloween, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. Each event would last around 20 days and include a special event game mode where players try to progress as far as possible. By playing the event, players can earn themed cosmetic deck skins.
The main reward would be rare Event Jokers, obtainable only from special event packs with a very low drop chance.
Event Jokers would be very powerful and have unique visual styles that match the event theme. Once unlocked, Event Jokers are permanently added to the player’s collection and have a small chance to appear in normal runs.
If a player does not obtain the Event Joker or finish the event in time, the rewards are missed until the event returns.

From a pure business standpoint it doesn’t make much sense regardless; it’s not a game like pjsk or btd6 where you can use fomo to push micro transactions. It’s just a chill game people play on their own leisure so why gatekeep items there

fomo isn't a feature, its a business tactic, so when you slap it on something that aint meant to be the typa game you spend money it, it just becomes locking out items for plays for the sake of locking out items for players with no benefit for doing so except pissing people off by making them unable to do builds reliant on those jokers
