You start with no cards in deck and have to build your way to victory with marble joker (challenge shown in the images)
I have managed to beat this, the x4 base blind size certainly makes it tricky, but it is possible.
How luck-based is this though? (psychic and pillar are banned since you have so few cards)

It also introduces perishable and rental jokers into challenges, which has never been done before. The perishable erosion gives you some time to set up a build, and the rental marble leads to decisions about when is best to sell it.

I am aware less cards = good, but higher scoring requirements = not good

no cards = instant game over on round 1

well, saw marble after the description

#

overall, an interesting challenge

i think you should call it "From Scratch" or smth similar

But otherwise this is the first challenge I like

# boreal shadow buffing it?

I mean maybe more like 10 but like it gives the player more of a "oh I should keep this stone joker for a bit) im worried if you dont a econ will be too luck based

my only problem with this is that erosion doesnt actually do anything because its below starting deck size

55 x 21 isnt enough to clear the first blind with 4x base blind size

sharp widget
#

Damn I forgot about the 4X blind size

glossy maple
#

Yeah maybe ot should scale to a 4x

#

So starts normally

sharp widget
#

So basically purple stake scaling?

glossy maple
#

Sounds good to me but idk

and that's how it shows in the collection

#

the only time it shows anything different is on abandoned deck

What if the challenge started you with tarot merchant and magic trick and also gave double planet scaling to make up for it. Then it would be a real deckbuilder, focused on poker hands rather than just high card stone cards while the jokers do the work.

interesting

4x is way too high

#

the erosion will do nothing, as someone else said

#

i don't like the perishable and rental

#

This isn't even possible to win I don't think

#

Oh wait planets

#

Nah this isn't a good base idea. It needs a heavy rework
