#Fiches Suggestion
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
For example: there’s a blind with 22000 fiches and maybe you get 30000 fiches. The 8000 fiches that are spared should’ve been added to the next blind (maybe with 25000 (I don’t remember))
this wouldn't do too much unless your build is really good
So? That would help
if your build scores enough to use this mechanic, you don't need the help
it's also weird to add a completely new gameplay feature when the entire rest of the game is built with not having it
But let’s make an example with the 22000 blind of before: LET'S SAY AS AN EXAMPLE that you made 47000 fiches. You could make 2 BLINDS
Where’s the problem?
whats fiches bro
score
chip requirement?
how does this new feature make the game better
I don’t know, in Italian the score is named fiche or fiches, not score or chips
It would help, I think
Like I’m always stuck in a 40000 blind
how would it make the game more fun
Well the intent is to help, not to make more fun the game
we have never seen a joker or voucher that reduces/increases blind requirements, and its probably for good reason
it should be kept for when you increase the difficulty of the run
I didn't say that
I think about a JOKER that is similar to the thing I’ve said, that is not about reducing the blind requirements
idk i didnt understand it so ya
It’s alright
Should I delete the suggestion?
the idea is that chip overflow carries over
Yeah, exactly
its your idea, you can do whatever you want
oh i see
I could make an example with this thing I did now
So if I scored enough could I beat the current and the next blind in one go
The next blind is 1200 chips. The score to do now was 800. I did 2325. Let’s do 2325 - 800 = 1525.
I could beat the other blind
Yeah
Ohh
i mean you'd still be able to
Or maybe it could help
Too op
Then 1525 - 1200 = 325.
The next blind is 1600.
I’ll start with 325
Also if the next blind is also beat what about the shop does it skip the shop
I think
skipping the shop would be pretty terrible
It's an ok idea maybe as a deck?
What you mean?
It could work as a deck's feature
Explain yourself better, it’s my problem that I do not immediately grasp the meaning of the phrase
Your idea could be a deck
Like how red deck has extra discard
Like you'd have to score just enough to beat the blind too much would skip the shop
Yeah
what does this mean...???
What is a fiche
Winmore ig
What’s a fiche though
total chips
It’s the word for chips in another language
Oh
Fine as a voucher though
I think the reason that Jokers and Vouchers don't decrease blind requirements is that it's significantly more fun to get a bigger score than to reduce the score you need, even if those two things are functionally similar
Ive always saw balatro as very simple. All jokers, consumables, cards, and vouchers contribute to scoring, or utillity. This is why we dont have X chips, and this is why jokers and vouchers dont give new mechanics. It should stay like that
I disagree with the part about Jokers and Vouchers not adding new mechanics (for example, Director's Cut adds a new button that lets you reroll boss blinds)
Also, it's not one of the things you listed, but Plasma Deck introduces its balancing gimmick
However, I do agree that new mechanics should be mostly kept to a minimum if possible in the base game (although mods adding mechanics is cool)
