I don't have any experience with any mods, so I can't say. But something like -1 hand size would be an interesting attempt to balance it. Though, i'd rather have -1 hands played, since reducing hand size feels bad to play.

reducing hands is 100% worse

black deck is widely considered the worst deck in the game because it removes a hand which messes with so much of your econ and scoring

Early game is black decks entire issue

I dont disagree that -1 hand on black deck is bad, but it'd be significantly less as impactful in this idea
