Splash has saved my ass SO many times, it's an amazing joker
Also Perkeo is instrumental in both major Naneinf methods (Observatory and Baron/Mime/Cryptid), but it's also just very good for deck fixing, since you can hold on to some tarots and have it dupe them

onyx agate and arrowhead feel overshadowed by bloodstone because of their lack of capacity to get silly scores but considering as bloodstone is relatively mid compared to these without an entire other uncommon i feel like theyre a lot more consistent, those and ancient joker can make flush runs feel actually worth it. also helps that onyx agate gives you the first 2 antes for free if found early

acrobat is dunked on (was me for some time) but its nice since it is ultimately xmult and can go hard depending on the setup

space joker is good, it just gives you levels and if you can fit it it can actually give you a lot over the course of the run

delayed gratification and banner are bad past blue stake but considering how many good cards exist where you arent gonna be discarding they can still be fine in the right circumstances

stuntman is a better lategame chip engine than like any other chip scaler besides wee

midas mask is obv good with vampire but they both go so insanely hard independently and people dont respect them enough, in fact when i can pull off the strategy end up moving out of midas in favor of other xmults late game just because it really doesnt need it to keep scaling. independently midas is great econ and vampire, while best with enhancement generators like vagabond, can be plenty strong on its own

campfire is one of the most effective ways to make ends meet late game, can get that thing up to decently high numbers without a joker slot and disgustingly high with one

jimbo is nice. hes 2 dollars and makes the first couple antes easier. obviously the weakest in terms of ceiling but because he doesnt ask you to play any particular hand type or anything he can feel less awkward than like a droll joker or the like

cartomancer is like worse vagabond meaning its still phenominal

juggler and drunkard are bros

gift card is like really good esp if u have stuff u plan to take later on, like thats a permanent temperance buff lol

rough gem is good econ even if not leaning too hard into diamonds

shoot the moon isnt great but on painted deck it can be solid +mult that can be scaled with fixing towards queens

also jimbo is deceptively good if you can get it ante 1, again because of the cheap price, as well as the fact that it can get you all the way through ante 1 alone

If you only buy a Jimbo, even on black deck & red+ stake and assuming you only use one hand per round, you'll enter ante 2 with $19
If you're playing yellow deck & white stake, again with 1 hand/round, you'll enter ante 2 with a staggering $44
green deck & white stake with a perfect 1 hand and 0 discards per round is $41 upon entering ante 2

like okay copying hermits is pretty strong but like the plan at least whenever i get it is to replace it

perkeo's great for basically anything except winning the base antes

mainly since it provides no point scoring or econ of its own, it solely relies on other cards or an edition to do so
