Reverse Judgement
Destroy selected Joker, the next time a Judgement card is used, it'll create a copy of the destroyed Joker

A deceptively simple tarot, the main idea was to make it so you get to "keep" a Joker saved up for later, since finding a specific Tarot card is much, much easier than finding a specific joker, specially of higher rarities, (maybe you found a joker that's stronger in the moment and want to make room for it, but you want to keep a different joker in the long run for example), but the more I thought about it more uses for it came to mind.
You can use it to save a joker you really don't want to lose when using Hex/Ankh/Invisible Joker on a different joker. You can use it as a pseudo-Showman by destroying a Joker you want another copy of, and then using Judgement after you found another copy naturally in the shop. In higher stakes you can use it to get rid of Rental or Perishable stickers on a joker you really want to keep.

I called it Reverse Judgement simply because I think it's the most logical way to add more Tarot cards to the game, but the exact mechanics for how/if Reverse Tarots would differ from regular Tarots is not really the main point of this post. But if you were to ask me I'd say just making it so Tarot cards have an innate 1 in 4 chance to become a Reverse Tarot instead would work nicely.

||Yes I based the look of reverse tarot cards from Isaac, but I limited myself to the Balatro color palette||

um

#

what benefit does destroying a joker and then creating a copy of it give exactly

#

oh i just read the thing

#

seems odd idk

Honestly that's a big part of why I like the idea so much

#

It doesn't immediately read crazy, but if you think about it more you can see the scenarios where it becomes really strong

i mean

#

regardless its still very niche

#

a potential oversight maybe is that this just lets you get a free copy of an eternap

which is again situational

So instead of destroying a random uncommon and then re creating it

#

destroy that uncommon

#

Give the same uncommon back with an edition instead

#

Because below black stake where there are no eternals its basically useless otherwise

Wait, shouldn't this spawn a restock machine? I was gonna use it in the secret room to try and find rock bottom.
