Fool's Laboratory is meant to be a new mod for Steamodded that adds a new type of vanilla-ish consumables - Chemical Cards. They're based on molecular formulas, so if you're a little bit of a scientist, you can come up with ideas for the Chemical Cards.

This mod is planned to add a maximum of 50 Chemical Cards, mainly because there's no point in making all discovered molecular formulas consumables for Balatro, as well as some jokers.

Ok, I'll start with an idea:
Glucose
+10 mult for every instance of this card in the consumable area,
0.5X mult if you have more than 10 instances

Silicone ( [R2SiO]n) can give a negative Common Joker. Given its the basic formula for plastic and most playing cards nowadays are plastic

Hmm Also Is there a way to check for certain Chemicals to give a DNA joker in exchange for destroying them? It sounds ambicious and kinda imbalanced

Battery: Select up to five cards and randomly turn all of them into Gold or Steel

Bleacher: Select up to five cards (Jokers included) and remove all editions, enhancements, seals and stickers from them

#

Medicinal Alcohol: Select up to 2 cards and convert them into Glass and Polychrome. Works with Jokers too, convert them just on Polychrome

#

Makeup: Select up to 10 cards (depending on your hand size) and randomly add Bonus or Mult or Lucky or Wild to all of them

#

Cement: Creates 12 stone cards in exchange for removing all 9s and 8s from your deck

And here the craziest (and funniest ones):

Himalayan Salt: Turn your entire deck into Glass cards and add a Negative and Eternal All Oops 6s! Joker to your team

Colorant: Randomly destroys half of your deck and adds a red seal to all surviving cards. It also reduces your Joker slots to 1 (meaning that if you have 5 Jokers, you'll still have them, but they'll be 5/1, meaning you can't buy any new ones, not even negative ones)

I can offer some other ideas if this project continues. The mentioned consumables should have some sort of "rarity" or odds of appearing with greater or lesser probability
