Be aware that most new mods besides Cryptid will require a newer version of Steamodded

Try reinstalling lovely. Go grab the latest version.dll file and put it in your Balatro installation folder with Balatro.exe

A lot of Balatro mods don't bother to create releases for their latest versions. You can get the latest from here:

That's right. Lovely is the thing that installs all the mods into the exe, so it has to go in the game folder. Everything else is a mod that lovely installs, so they go in the Mods folder
Steamodded is technically also a Lovely mod, it's just one that a lot of other mods depend on

I'd also rename Cryptid-main (1) to just Cryptid, some mods can be fussy like that

The release version v2.0.2 should work for you

Talisman is known for breaking save files, can you try backing up then removing the %AppData%\Balatro\1 folder?

That's frustrating, not sure what might cause that. No guarantees, but you can try deleting everything in the Mods folder and installing the latest bleeding-edge versions:

It's mostly stable, but the older versions are still a bit more battle-tested and result in less crashes. For most people.
