I think it's more a matter of, photograph is the only vanilla joker with visible arms, if I remember right. It's probably cards having a full body rather than the themes that make it feel out of place.
I think it looks good and fits in well enough myself, but that is also just another person's differing opinion.
Baseball card does too, actually, and looking at those, it really follows how those two did it, shading wise.

I think it'd be a kind of texture change, along the lines of Lucky Card, personally.
Just enough that it looks like there's folds like in a sheet, rather than being completely flat like paper cards.
