how would you convey the counters to the player?
Just modifying all bosses texts straight

so, when the boss blind starts, new text will apear on chicot that gives a condition so that u can gain X2 mult
when the boss blind starts, it will also display what chicot does to counter the boss blind
The x2 Mult is unnecessary
then chicot just gets worse
cause he no longer eliminates the boss blind entirely, he just counters it

the 4 boss blinds that debuff suits: remove debuff from cards, and suit that used to be debuffed now gives 1$ card played
the hook: draw 2 additional cards per hand played
the ox: playing your most played hands gives 5$
the house: all cards are face up, and draw additonal cards at the beggining of the round equal to your hand size
the wall: point scoring required is divided by 4,
the wheel: gives wheel of fortune tarot card per hand played
the arm: upgrades played hand
the fish: cards drawn after each hand are temporarily lucky cards
the psychic: playing 5 cards gives 5$
the water: you dont lose your discards, and +2 hands and discards
the manacle: +1 hand size
the eye: repeat hand types give 5$
The text on Chicot could be âall bosses now give positive effectsâ, while the bossesâ text themselves are altered once you meet those bosses. It could be a secret sub collection to find all reversed bosses.

the pillar: cards played this ante temporarily give an extra 20 chips and +4 mult
the needle: dont lose hands, and +4 hands
the wall: super small blind (x0.4 Blind size)

amber acorn: add 3 random negative common jokers
verdant leaf: all cards are polychrome, red seal, lucky cards

crimson heart: one random joker will be retriggered per hand
cerulean bell: gives more mult the harder it is to make played hand
high card: +5 mult
pair+ 10
and so on
just add 5 mult
anyway that should be all of them.
Selects the highest scoring hand from your hand (you can deselect it but it will let you know)

so the opposite is it gives more mult if the hand is harder to play

I had a similar idea. "Boss blinds are reversed". Meaning -1 hand size turns to +1, -1$ per card turns to +1$, debuffed suit turns to buffed suit (x1.5 mult) and so on
or make it so Chicot also gain x1 mult per Boss Blind defeated
These are 2 legendary jokers in one

Now here's a question, does this work on the ante 8 boss blinds
It might? Haven't thought too hard because people are against the idea in the past.
since the nature of Finisher boss is very complicated
probably best just get disabled and nothing else
Crimson Heart picks one joker to retrigger, purple vessel is 1/3 blind size
Cerulean bell picks one card which if played grants x2 mult, Verdant is Temperance when you enter the blind, Amber Acorn... well amber acorn does nothing.

the wall should be 1/2 since most boss blinds starts at 2X base
and violet vessel could be 1/3
I think Chicot does that already if you have multiple
ive seen this suggestion a lot and ive always felt like it kinda has the matador problem where its just not clear enough how it works
if a boss blind is active, it will show what its ability is for that specific boss blind.
side note: i forgot to include a serpent counter.
after each hand or discard: draw 7 cards
and if it shows the ability for each boss blind.
u can go on a mini quest to find all of chicots counters

To me, this still has the same problem as current chicot and(to a greater extent) loyalty card: a scoring joker that doesn't score every blind is useless(yeah, you could skip everything but boss blinds, but thats the best way to speedrun to the game over screen, with or without this version of chicot)
It's also hella inconsistent and would be unclear what effects chicot would have before you enter
Like why would psychic give $5 for playing 5 cards? That feels really unthematic and just turns Chicot into a worse Matador since it has lower potential
(never thought I could say worse matador lol)
I guess Chicot is just doomed to be the worst Legendary, but this is a great concept don't get me wrong.
Unrelated, but i added Soul as a reccomended item for a fighting game just for fun that gives 1 of the 5 legendary jokers and, with the adaptations i made to fit into said game, Chicot might be the most overpowered one since it makes you immune to every single statues effect.
I think if Chicot were a handsize scaler instead of a boss blind deleter, it would be more in line with other legendaries(probably still the worst legendary in my opinion, but with lots of power and potential the current one doesn't have)
If you make 100 chicot posts there's a chance of one of them being perfect
