Nihilist deck reworked yet again. Now, instead of 0.75x ante scaling, you start at ante 0. Also the pillar is now forbidden from appearing ever (or at least is supposed to be)

from my testing the pillar is just blatantly unfair on this specific deck
like to an absurd degree
with the psychic at least its conceivable you can get 5 cards by the time you encounter it
the pillar just screws you inevitably no matter what you do
also that screenshot is old there is no longer a 0.75x to base blind but instead you just start at ante 0
this also gives you additional time to prepare should the psychic show up since it can only show up at ante 1 or higher
a deck like this is hard to balance but i think i figured it out
bravo, the first deck that starts at ante 0
im just now realizing blackjacks would go crazy with jokers that require a certain number of cards, considering blackjacks dont usually require many cards
alot of things can destroy the nihilist deck if you're lucky enough
outside of the initial early game hell the manipulation potential is insane
my ante 19 run? nihilist deck
expanded the king of kings sprite from DNDG (trying to scale down the real stone engraving to use as reference is an exercise in futility trust me its not worth it lmao) and added a touch to it
the old persian likely says something completely gibberish but its ja-ku-ra (absolute closest i could make to it sounding like "joker")
also made the hat taller and the robes extend a bit further down to match the engraving a little better
this is probably placeholder for king cobra but idk it has very silly energy to it
once this one's added itll be up to 25 jokers (already implemented king of kings but havent pushed an update yet)
adding new jokers completely broke odd todd and even steven

hack is the only one that was registered using base values instead of nominals and its the only that works so i guess along the way something changed in smods or talisman that made the others not work anymore
also probably should remove the checks for unstb_ here because this part can literally only run if unstable is not detected (as unstable has overrides of its own)

im doing more testing to confirm more shit didnt break somehow and might quickly add the striped deck (it will likely check for ortalab since that mod adds the striped deck too)

it SHOULD disable contraband packs from spawning but ill have to test it

also there was a typo in the code (pi code key was "P" instead of "Pi") so now the pi cards actually show up
one major obstacle remains for the release of 0.3.4
i want it so that contraband packs dont appear in the full deck
i cannot figure out how to do that
the funniest shit happened; i got the Magic the Jokering mod. and it's making contraband cards of the new suit, Clovers.

thanks to john smods i believe i have solved that issue so doing a bit of additional testing before releasing 0.3.4

well i just learned that Raised Fist also needs an override
it only checks for vanilla ranks

King of Kings | For every played king, destroy it and gain 0.3x mult and 10 chips
King Cobra | 0.5x mult for every king in full deck, but -1 hand per round
[NEW DECKS!]
Striped Deck | Deck containing 26 Clubs and 26 Diamonds
Full Deck | A deck containing every card, including those of illegal ranks. Contraband cards spawn naturally

Scrooge McJoker no longer gives money infinitely even when played card is not a blackjack flush

I'll be transparent with you guys, as I have through most of the mod's development
I've been depressed as fuck.
Hard to get out of bed let alone develop this mod so the hiatus may last for quite a bit
It's not cancelled I just mentally can't really work on it

Mod development is still stalled; However I plan to try to submit the mod for the newly released Balatro Mod Manager in the relatively near future
Dunno what "quality checks" means or if this mod actually meets them, since there are still unresolved major bugs (Killer Queen joker incompatible with Canio, and straights of 3 2 A K Q being possible, both of these I have absolutely 0 idea how to fix) but doesnt hurt to try i guess ?
Id love to see more of this, even if it takes years and years for that to happen
If you arent already a bit better, I really hope you can feel happier in any way
