Other uncommon retriggers, like dusk and sock and buskin, can only retrigger a maximum of 5 cards. This can retrigger a maximum of 8

to be fair there is basically no other reason to run wilds at the moment so this would really give them some time to shine

that's true, but this is a lot harder to use than sock or dusk. Remember, you can only get one wild at a time. You already have one if you get the joker. To get the 8 triggers, you need to either get 4 more lovers cards, or use death to copy the ones you have. And that's assuming you actually draw them together when you need the power, and that's ignoring the four boss blinds that decide that you lose.

I think rewarding you with 3 more triggers for getting through that hell is fair

I will say though, i think triggering cards in hand is unneccesary. The joker is strong enough with 3 more triggers, it doesn't need to be mime too.

Hmm I can understand that. Part of me just wants more reasons to sort the cards in hand beyond when I’m using shoot the moon

I would definitely love to see more trigger in hand jokers in the future, but I think this joker doesn't need that added to it

Nah, because it doesn’t actually foreshadow situations you’d use it. That hand would just give extra chips if you had Wildfire when using it

I’m mixed on this one tbh, it is unique but it sounds super annoying to micromanage what’s adjacent every single turn. It’s annoying with Shoot the Moon, it’s even more annoying with this one
