#Wild Card Enhancement Change - should stack with other enhancements

I think everyone feels that Wild Card is the worst enhancement, so I would like to propose it be changed slightly. I think it should be allowed to stack with other enhancements. IE you can have a Wild Bonus card, or a Wild Lucky card, etc. This would break the rule of "one enhancement per card", but I think this could be fixed by either changing the lucky symbol to be a pseudo fifth suite, or by just having an addendum by the enhancements that says " Wild Card does not count towards this limit". I think the second way would be the ideal method.

Wild Card Enhancement Change - should stack with other enhancements

Not a bad idea, would also be OK with applying to two cards at once

To prevent the rule from being broken, wild could become a seal. The wild "symbol" is already circular enough. It could be like, I dunno, "rainbow seal" or "maroon seal" or... something.

#

just an idea

#

im mixed on this one, but wild definitely needs a buff

If it made 3 wild cards at once instead of 1 (or even 2) it would be a lot better since it’d actually deck fix for flushes, but as is there is legit no real benefit over a regular suit changer

#

Or if the spectral card that changed all cards in hand to the same suit instead made them all wild that could also work

#

Like let’s say wild cards were changed to be undebuffable (a common suggestion): it’s still only a single card in your deck, and one wild card doesn’t deck fix at all

I wish that it just didnt suck against bosses. Maybe Debuff (suit) bosses should ignore wilds, and only affect their base suit.

Also like you mentioned seals are added through spectrals and I don't like the inconsistency

yeah

#

thats fair

#

I dunno. I want wilds to be good, but its just really hard to make them work in a way that is consistent with the rest of the game without them sucking.

#

What if...

#

"Wildcards become the suit of the leftmost played card"

#

so they only switch when they need to

#

and hence dont get debuffed

#

I dunno

#

im tired and im tired of wilds 😭

Wild cards becoming undebuffable might be interesting (while not really on theme)

I think wild cards being immune to debuff is the most elegant solution. They don’t directly contribute to your score, they don’t do anything outside of a round (like gold cards), they just make it easier to play flush type hands and trigger off of suit jokers.

They’re more of a safety net than anything else, so in that aspect I think it’s fine to also grant them the unique ability to be immune to debuff, as that would lean even more into the “make hands easier to play” angle

#

If they were debuff immune and I got two of them per tarot card, I’d actually start taking them in more situations outside of being the least bad booster pack pull.
