#Eighties Joker (Uncommon)

I present to you a Joker idea inspired by the Plasma deck.
This Joker allows you to choose, depending on its order, when to reverse the Chips and Mults in order to improve your score.

Its most basic use is to reverse the score before adding Chips to benefit from the Chip value of the hand that is higher than the mult. The goal is to try to place the Joker so that the Chips and Mults are the most balanced.

It therefore allows a revaluation of the "Chips Jokers", Bonus Cards, Foil and Higher rank cards by allowing their multiplication between them rather than their addition.

I'll let you think long and hard to find the possible combinations!

I dont understand actually

ok so like
90 x 10
SWITCH
10 x 90
devious
110 x 90

#

interesting

This feels like more of a common joker imo

sand rover

Common Jokers are all simple +X, this is complex enough to be uncommon, but a cheap uncommon

vernal saddle
#

This goes well with planets yeah

#

A nice leveled up planet with some xmult

devout lily
#

It's only really useful with +chips so I feel like common is reasonable for it

vernal saddle
#

I think its definitely uncommon

#

With just a few planets you're looking at a pretty good base mult value to multiply

devout lily
#

Reminder that 2x(4×3) is the same as (2×3)×4

vernal saddle
#

Chips jokers give lots of chips

#

And are pretty common

#

This isnt INSANE but like

#

Its not common joker standards

#

As the example above says,
190×10<110×90
So,
190×10×3<110×90×3

#

Fuck

Would allow you to also grind high mult, switch it over to chips and grind high mult again to recreate plasma deck balance and basically do a sort of X chips.

devout lily
#

Like I said, this would mostly only be useful with +chips because base mult values are usually low and +chips can give a lot of chips

#

+mult would be harmed because base chips are higher and you don't get as much mult from +mult

#

And Xmult wouldn't be affected

white spire
#

Say you start off with 90x10. Get +50 mult X3: 90x180. Switch sides to 180x90 and do X2 mult and boom you have 180x180 balanced with only one + mult, two X mult and one eighties joker

vernal saddle
#

Arrange your jokers well

#

You'd mostly run +chips instead though, switch and multiply

bad example but I hope you get what I mean

vernal saddle
#

This is great imo

white spire
#

or does the math just equal out anyway?

vernal saddle
#

Also high effort suggestions post!!!

vernal saddle
#

Even if you switch the numbers around

white spire
#

Ooh, but on plasma deck you can play this joker first and then start of with crazy high mult immediately to increase with only X mults

vernal saddle
#

This would trivialise plasma deck maybe?

#

Since plasma deck strategy is stacking up +chips early

#

But now you can do that, and if you find this joker, you can get xmult for insane value

#

And balance

#

This is like a very good custom uncommon joker

white spire
#

this joker placed first lets you go off of like 10x300 and then pull only x mults from there

#

if you play a bunch of bonus cards

Kinda reminds me of the joker that balances chips and mult in the Cryptid mod

Here are some examples of situations to take advantage of the Eighties Joker balatrojoker :

sage silo
#

why is Eighties in front?

#

wait no i misunderstood everything, please carry one

#

im the one thats dumb i just did the math it all checks out

candid plank
# sage silo why is Eighties in front?

Detailed calculation for the first example:
Flush (Lvl.1)
35 x 4
Cards Chips
(35 + 10 + 8 + 6 + 4 + 2) × 4
Arrowhead
(65 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50) × 4
Eighties
4 × 315
Crafty
(4 + 80) × 315
Total
26,460

To take advantage of the Eighties Joker, you must make sure to distribute a part of the Chips on each side to multiply them between them during the final calculation.

There are other cases where the optimal location of the Eighties is not the first position, for example in the illustration of the post in which I placed a Wee Joker first which is then copied by Brainstorm which allows to obtain the value of the Wee squared

bump, this is a cool idea. swapping chips and mult during scoring could result in some really unique and powerful combinations!

Cool

Makes sense

Sick joker idea

This is rad as hell, could easily see myself doing runs with this

#

Would also make a really good custom challenge with an eternal 80s joker or something

I had a similar, simpler idea. "Upside down joker", simply put it swaps around base chips and base mult of hands.
