My thought is it kinda clashes with discounts and aggressive shop searching

So even though there are plenty of things that are $5 or more, you have to spend differently than you usually would (with tons of econ) to get the most out of this joker

(also it's limited to just the shop, otherwise you could just get hundreds of xmult just by repeatedly rerolling the boss with a hypereconomy build)
