#$JOKR (Uncommon Joker)

Why just the initial items?
so that if you sell it, prices don't reset to default until the next shop
for consistency's sake
it's an effect that's applied only when you enter the shop rather than being tied to the joker itself
I think it could be a decent challenge, but not worth a joker slot
If I see a blueprint for $15 I’m still buying it, if I see an Obelisk for $1 I’m still not buying it. It doesn’t really change how I play
Obelisk for $1 is an instant buy if you're only like halfway through a run
it's not much of a challenge at all
None of the challenges are
???
Only golden needle and jokerless were difficult
And jokerless didn’t even take that long for me
I think I will gently agree, with the caveat that it's because all of the challenges have the same win condition as vanilla
I think if there were challenges that had weirder requirements to successfully complete them beyond just beating anti-8, that would be pretty cool
They’re all white stake which makes them pathetic and they usually start you out with either a winning build, or change so little it doesn’t matter
Yeah, them being white stake also lends itself to them being easier
Like I think a random price challenge would slot right in with the difficulty of the others and at least be a bit interesting
But as a joker, I’m literally never taking it
its just as likely to save you money on them as it is to make them more expensive and less likely to buy
yes, but you don't have to buy it
This is a good idea for this reason: if one thing you want is overpriced, you can just buy another thing that is underpriced(at least usually). Saying it after abusing something similar in another game, with the difference being that in that game it was between 50% to 150% price multiplayer instead of a flat randomised
I don’t think that’ll translate over to Balatro very well
It also seems bad in that game, yet it is a near free win, so who knows?
following on this point
it's a little more complex than this but I think in most situations it's a net positive
