hi, i need some help, i crash instantly when try booting up balatro
i have almanac and all optional mods for it (sdm and fusion) and latest versions of lovely and steamodded, idk what the issue is
i don't have brainstorm-or at least i don't think i do. And I'm not sure where these settings are.

just to add to the slowdown/memory leak situation, I've noticed some major slowdown when having Haro in inventory and opening packs? But that might be unrelated. It's not too problematic, just gotta restart the game every round or two.
...though it may be something else causing the lag, since I've sold Haro and packs still cause noticeable slowdown. Odd.

Hm. I'll test that when I finish this "normal" run. Getting e66 gold is a bit of a chore. When I was building toward godsmos I did end up with quite a few cards with the ^^^ operators along with other busted stuff. It didn't seem to be scoring high enough to really make a difference (like ##13-15 range) but I could be mistaken. Perhaps the combo is the key.

So, 3##65 = 3^^...^^3 (65 ^s); while 10##1000 = 10^^...^^10 (1000 ^s).

okay so I got a crash when I tried to use rework on Jen Walter, Wondergeist of Omnipotence. The Jen already had the blazing edition and when I used rework I got the tag and it said that it was going to be wavy. The game crashed when I rerolled the shop. Is this a bug because of reworking fusion jokers?

while the fps dropped to like 15
restarting the game drops it to ~30k and gives me framerate back

So if there's a Wee Edition that makes cards small and makes them scale with 2s, will there be a Square Edition that squashes/stretches the card to a square and makes it scale with four-card hands? A Fibonacci Edition that shows as a golden spiral and makes the card scale with Fibonacci-numbered cards? A Misprinted Edition that shifts the card's art a bit with some wraparound and randomizes its values between 0 and 23 times the base value with every activation? There's probably potential for more, but that's what I could think of.
Actually wait, I think I see Misprinted already there next to Wee in the teaser where you showed it in the Collection.

misprint gives the card a random, unknown amount of +chips, xchips, ^chips, +mult, xmult and ^mult
making it randomise between 0 to 23x values is just a glorified glitched edition

I'm sure there's exceptions to the rule but you get what I mean. It's not a per-activation thing, it's a (usually) one-time-per-that-specific-instance-of-that-card thing.

because most jokers in the mod with that "rarity" (or better) have an internal rarity of 6, and it's also a design choice

if you can just grab a godsmarble-fusion joker from a ritualistic pack straight away, what's the point of holding onto a godsmarble when i can just use rerolls in most cases to just get the pack

Let’s be realistic here, how are you actually going to make that many jokers? There are a ton of fan OC’s to use but not 500. And your gonna need a heavily optimized workflow to do this in any decent time frame.

I just installed Cryptid-main, talisman-main, and Almanac 0.0.3a~pre2
gets this crash on launch the moment I update from Almanac version 0.0.1a to the latest
runs just fine with every other required mod loaded but not the new Almanac
Tried running it with Talisman's latest release build and it gives the exact same error message
I am absolutely sure these two version are not the same, so idk whats up

ok, I fixed the crash somehow. Apparently the only way for Almanac 0.0.3a~pre2 to run is for me to have Cryptid 0.5.0-pre (not the second one.) and talisman 2.0.0-beta5, which is only found in the this older version of Cryptid.
its now running just fine without crashes at launch at least

its an issue tied to talisman's omeganum setting, which if you dont download from main and instead download the latest version you dont have it in your download folder
idk why it is there but i've already brought it up in the talisman mod thread so hopefully in later releases of talisman its not the case

Oh hell no. That's gotta be a typo. ##64 is the limit as far as my game stability is concerned. I kinda burned myself out a bit trying to squeeze every last retrigger out of the game and then someone immediately got an extra 10k before the double sharp. I think the highest score I have seen was that one at e10#145000(ish)##64.

that's a cryptid problem, also pointer:// was designed in mind to not work with exotics or better, godsmos being one of the things it shouldn't work with

alr looked into this by removing and adding one by one and its only the "jen" folder that crashes the game
Hm. Not sure if this is a cryptid issue or almanac. I had canvas retriggering supercell 3 times and chad being retriggered by canvas also retriggering a blood edition supercell. This caused the score to simply not count and when I tried investigating the cause I got an irrecoverable crash.
I just updated everything and I'm only using mods compatible with almanac (I think...) and cosmetics.

There was an issue where scores around the eee6-eee15 range sometimes didn’t register, that might be what you are facing
I can confirm that. Debugged the same setup and it was that very particular combo. Every other arrangement scored.

Betmma's Vouchers, this particular Voucher set is rather controversial.
Both grant +1 Joker Slot, but Stow/Stash debuffs the leftmost/rightmost Joker slots. They're meant to be swapped around to make max usage, but it completely nullifies Brainstorm...and the CHONKER himself as well, IG.
