Effect: Selects a number between 2 and 9 each blind. Any card that matches the number will count as its own value and the values of the numbers before and after it (note the chip value of that card will not change).

Ex: Mirage selects 5, Any played five now counts as a 4, 5, and 6. This means you can get easier pairs (3 4 is now a pair of 4s), three of a kind (6 6 5 now counts as three 6s) , etc

This feels, really really weird idk how to explain it

terse cosmos
#

I agree it is a strange idea, but i think it could be interesting

calm thicket

In the example you showed, let's say I play 5 5 5 5 5. What hand would come out?

terse cosmos
#

would that not still be a five of a kind

calm thicket
#

Why not full house?

cinder tide
#

cuz 5 oak is higher than full house

#

specifically

#

it would count as a five-oak of 6's

calm thicket
#

I guess that makes sense

terse cosmos
#

I wanted a joker that could mix up what cards could be used for hands. I think this could make certain strats more flexible

#

especially 3 card straights

calm thicket
#

It seems inconsistent at best

cinder tide
#

a straight still needs 5 cards tho (four cards with four figners)

#

*fingers

#

this joker isn't a "three" fingers

How would selecting a card work

terse cosmos
#

i suppose that is fair, i should update that to avoid further confusion

Adding more ui for one joker seems like something that the game is staying away from

terse cosmos
#

any number 2-9

calm thicket
#

It's weirdly worded but clearly means the joker itself selects what number it will be

terse cosmos
#

this joker would have a lot of mini-synergies but nothing major, so maybe it would not be a rare

craggy crag
#

Oh yeah

#

It's pretty inconsistent then

calm thicket
terse cosmos
#

as a means to make 4 or 5 of a kind, i believe it could be helpful

#

it would also be a diet short cut, so perhaps it should be an uncommon
