I might be an idiot but I’ve been trying to get the mod pack to work for 2 days and every time I click play game it just loads vanilla. I might be missing a crucial step on the lovely injector side but unsure of how to proceed
The UI hasn’t given me any error messages and shows that I have the full pack installed! But vanilla on open every time 🙃

I downloaded everything on my steam deck and added some mods. When I launch the console opens up but no mods load
It doesn't give me an option to change the injector folder
If I knew what the injector filename was I could try moving it!
Originally had Balatro itself on a different drive than my C and moved it back (and changed the Game Directory pathname) to troubleshoot but nothing

Ok this one's a very specific issue, but Onikiri from TWEWJ crashes the game if its somehow changed using set_ability, removing the G.E_MANAGER in add_to_deck/remove_from_deck fixes the issue

it's just a very long combo of salt and pepper (retriggers spades) and patient joker (+30 chips per scored spade)
the canvas makes the salt and pepper retrigger the spade multiple times
and then the canvas also retriggers the retriggered patient joker
180 x 18 flush house is now at 103,300 x 18 still from the first card

i had to close the game cause of how long it took (1 card took almost 20 minutes and wouldnt finish)

It's a .jkr file, Steam automatically does that.

Well, after removing cartomancer, and making sure lovely is 0.5.0 Beta6, we are back to the initial crash of trying to play or discard a hand

I mean I see the problem, it's that git is builtin for Linux but not recognized by proton, and I don't know how to fix the issue.

OK i got it figured out.
First, use this script instead:

then use this method to install and run the script:
1.open konsole in the same directory as manager
2.create virtual environment in python: python3 -m venv myenv
3.start the virtural environment: source myenv/bin/activate
4.install all dependancies: pip install PyQt6 GitPython requests
5.run the manager script: python 'ModpackManager - tk20.py'
6.after download and install the modpacks, use steam to launch game (rather than in manager cause it won't work)
after that, if you wish to use the manager, just do step 3,5 and you are set

why cant I fuse jokers? like when I have two jokers that are compatible to fuse they start shaking but when I click on them the fuse button is grey even though I have the money. Ive tried on the fusion jokers mod and jens almanac but both of these mods the fusion mechanic is broken

There could be 2 different releases/installs, one for one that's balanced like the 0.9.8 (definitely powerful, but considerably more balanced) version, and a "Cryptid-like" version that balances them more along those lines.
That way, you won't be discouraged from taking MF Jokers while you're doing a Cryptid run, as they'll likely be nearly as or just as powerful.

If it's a mod the size of Cryptid, it is kinda serious to consider around, given how massive and popular it is.
It's not the center of the world, vanilla Balatro is. Cryptid is too different game-wise compared to vanillatro, Either you make a vanilla/semi-vanilla like mod or a Cryptid extension 
i think even with vanilla+ mods you should at the very least develop with cryptid support in mind, people are gonna want to play with both and there are cases where you have to make your own support
I’d recommend not thinking about Cryptid when balancing your own mods
My mod literally has an (almost) infinite with Cryptid, people don't mind, I don't either.
If you really want to, add a toggle in your mod’s settings or something
We will probably add a Balanced toggle or fork of Cryptid at some point anyway

'Cause Bunco, Ceres, and SDM_0's Stuff have met that fate, and they're probably not alone but those are the major ones I've noticed. That might also explain why none of their content is actually loaded when I load the game...

also grim seems to work on itself, so it might be something else conflicting with it

I think it's a conflict with math blinds. grim is injecting code that math blinds is seeing as injectable but math blinds is expecting a different structure

but i am sure i see someone said the game boots with only grim
for my heavily tweaked mod pack I was able to edit one line from grim's lovely patch to get it to play nice, but that also relies on math blinds to add its thing later

The log isn't really helpful from what I skimmed
it might be because the version of deckskins+ isn't fully up to date in the modpack. try disabling it or updating it from it's github

found the issue - i had two buncos installed for some reason even if i thought it was overwritten
idk if this is the place for suggestions, but a "Custom Modpack" option that just pulls up the install menu with every mod from every modpack (and potentially autoselects/deselects their dependencies) would be sick and i dont think super crazy hard to add
the pack manager is incredibly useful tho amazing work

Not sure what's causing a crash-on-win here, but it seems exclusive to the Oversaturated Deck since I've won multiple times before on this version of the modpack with no issues.

It does have a small incompatibility with jokerdisplay mod support with the key of one joker being different now. The joker display things aren't always right either so my plans are to add them and fix anything that looks wrong.
I don't personally use jokerdisplay so that won't matter for my purposes

I'm thinking the best way to do this is for one of us to host a fork where we push the updates to the existing repo and use that as a submodule

I just realized there's like 3 jokers in this modpack that adds a "Gains x hands at start of round, -1 hand" joker 😬 (I'm part of the problem)
We really need a tag system for jokers to be quickly found or filtered

I use yosbr on mine to provide a default config for ceres that disables some stuff I don't like, I would do the same for familiar because I don't like the combo suits, but I like some of the other consumables
I have them disable because they're sadly known for having issues
(unless they've been fixed)
I play with a ton of mods and haven't had issues with either

I think it was mostly Ceres, Splash and Stone cards were broken, something the cards were scoring in reverse
at the very least I could see having like a google sheet with a list of every known joker so modders can see if their ideas already exist somewhere (and users could use as reference)
