I changed from 1 profile to another and when I came back to my original profile everything got erased, I got my jokers back when I closed the game and reopened it but my joker stickers and stake wins never came back (got the 4stickers and 1 stake win that is shown after everything got reset)

I just joined to submit the same issue. I didnt change profiles though. I play on steam on PC, and I have both a PC and a laptop I play the game on. Before today I have had no issues switching between the two, as last night I was playing on my laptop- but just right now as I am on my PC I have opened up the game and all of my stake progress is gone.
Hitting play on the menu, the game acts like I am a new player. If I open options and hit New Run, I can see all of my decks that Ive unlocked correctly, but all my stake progress was gone, as I had at least white stake on all my decks, and on Checkered Deck I spent several hours last night doing orange stake trying to beat it so this is devastating :(
Accordingly as well, my challenge run progress is gone :(
The collection still says I have everything I had unlocked, but the jokers dont have their stake winning stickers
Also perhaps a small thing but I just noticed too, it didnt seem to have remembered my settings and reverted them, as I had game speed set at 4 and upon looking it was set back to 1. CRT was also set to 70 when I had had it at 50

Jumping in on this issue, I am facing something similar. The specifics for me are that I cannot progress through the stakes as the game seems to "reset" after I beat ante 8. For example, I will play Blue Deck / Green Stake, win on ante 8, go to the main menu, and the game says that I have not beat the Green Stake. Any vouchers or jokers that I unlock during a run, are not unlocked after the run is over and remain locked at the main menu collection. I am earning achievements through Steam, but they do not seem to connect to the game. I'm playing on a Macbook Pro if that matters at all

In the same exact boat as this, although I do not even play on two separate devices. Just booted up the game after playing it earlier in the day today, and I still have my full collection and decks, but not a single stake or run saved

I'm having this same issue. I mostly play on steam deck and noticed last night I could no longer select higher stakes and the tutorial joker came up. Collection is still up to date, but I don't want to have to get all the stakes again as that took a ton of time. I didn't even know you could have multiple profiles in Balatro, so I don't know if that came into effect for me.

Same just happened to me. I finished a run on PC and was hit with a crash report saying "saved_game_nil" at which point the game shut down and all progress was lost. No decks unlocked, no stakes saved. Only thing remaining are the unlocks.

Here to submit the same issue - I took a screenshot, exited Balatro, and found the screenshot to be corrupted, couldn't open it. So I opened the game to re-take it, and I was greeted with the tutorial joker and all my progress wiped. I still have jokers and decks unlocked, but no stakes or stickers. Ouch. [PC]

Here to report the same issue. I switched from 1st PC to my 2nd PC and lost 100+ hours of progress but my Steam Cloud status has always been "up to date". The only thing I didn't lose is my Challenges progress and my high score. Is there any hope of restoring my save?

I had cloud save on steam and mine got wiped even from playing on the same PC. Im not sure if its a corrupt file issue or if the game isnt reading the save file correctly when you launch.

Bump here as well, just lost a bunch of gold stickers after playing on my laptop. In fact, I went and rebeat gold stake with a cavendish and it didn't even give me the sticker. Steam cloud was synced and local files are the same across machines. Absolutely infuriating.
This actually set me back 100+ hours from Completionist++. I like this game but at this point I can't justify playing it if it's going to randomly delete my progress.

you can prevent this by disabling cloud saves, but you'd have to manually transfer your save files each time you're planning on switching device to continue

This didn't happen to me, but bumping cuz the suggestion someone made earlier in this post of being able to load from a previous save if something happens would have saved me after I accidentally unlocked everything on the switch and had to start a brand new game.

They list cloud syncing as a known bug on mobile. I would like to add I encountered this without switching devices. Would be nice if cloud syncing was able to be turned off or displays a warning when trying to overwrite a higher percentage save.

Just happened to me now on mobile. My wins were reset to zero as well as my challenges, decks, and progression on jokers, vouchers etc. collection progress is still there though.

Yeah I’m in a weird spot where I opened the game on my iPad and it didn’t sync anything, then opened it back on my phone and now I can’t resume my game because I don’t have the deck/stakes unlocked.

Same here. Earlier today I had green deck up to purple stake and was doing purple stake runs on ghost deck. Opened Balatro just now and found that green deck is back to black stake and ghost deck is back to red stake, and that my win count has gone down to 18 (it was ~30 earlier). No joker progress lost though. Android 14, haven't played on any other devices

I decided to continue the run it said I had saved (a ghost deck green stake run) just to see what it had saved but it loaded a purple stake run I was doing earlier in the day. So somehow it didn't overwrite that part of the save file. Just the stake unlocks it seems
