They're really cool. Haven't tried them yet but one potential issue with planet cards may be dilluting the planet pool too much and making targetted upgrades harder without telescope
one of them upgrades your most played hand directly, to help offset that very effect

Offering is interesting, it sounds very powerful but it may be a death sentence in some cases

a lot of spectral cards with randomness involved do have that potential though, Offering is just more extreme about it
being able to have a Whole Extra Joker is a pretty powerful effect though, so i'm okay with it being hard to insta-pick in a pack for example

What was done with the new "planets" here was great. Celestial packs no longer feel boring and linear. Also allows you to change strategies mid run alot easier which is great for the upcoming update for stakes on the main game
is The Joker supposed to not take a consumable slot? visually it does but i can go over the cap by 1 so effectively it doesn't

1 of the spectrals deletes half your deck at random but gives a free joker slot

I've been getting random isolated crashes when using void. I've been having trouble replicating it but will report back when i get more info

for Ghost Deck it's still good because the rate it sets spectrals to is higher than ghost deck's
(Ghost Deck sets them to 1/2 the rate of tarot and planets; Spectral Merchant sets them to 1x the rate)
throwing around the idea of a voucher that lets any consumable be randomly editioned, not just Joker (who will be fixed in the update btw)
Deluxe Tarots does this with planets and I've enjoyed the concept alot. Some nice tension on whether you want to use the editioned planet for an immediate boost or hold onto it to add score to all upcoming hands

Its free in the way early game but the risk increases pretty quickly throughout the antes

as you've built up enhancements, seals, editions on the cards in your deck it becomes worse and worse
though card destruction is inherently powerful, the randomness is the downside
it messes me up early cause i try to have fun by playing 5 card hand types and i no longer have enough cards to play them 4 times

I retract my statement earlier about universe. Being able to target 4 cards with the only downside is occasionally getting griefed by stone is a league above the other tarots. Being able to select your targets is fine but i like lowering it to 3

...It's be cool to maybe have a Legendary Joker that allows you to have Joker Stamps on Playing Cards, and regular Seals on Jokers.
Though, Seal effects on Jokers would probably have to be reworked to fit the Jokers effects:
Purple Seal: Gain a random Tarot card the first time that this Joker triggers in a round. Must have space.
Blue Seal: Gain the Planet card of your last played hand at the end of the round. Must have space.
Gold Seal: Gain 2 dollars every time this Joker triggers.
Red Seal: Retrigger this Joker once whenever it triggers.

between versions 0.2.1 and 0.2.2 the joker seals are all showing up as purple seals in the collection. I'm sure its fine standalone but ill try to find the other mod causing issues

yeah thats because of the fix for stamps on playing cards, since those are technically playing cards
jokers having non-passive seals would require tearing up almost the entire function for calculating a played hand i think

are already basically only possible via a stroke of luck with functions im able to hook into
actually technically hooks into the "check for unlocks" function to do his thing
since, as far as i can tell, its the best way to hook into the end of a round
epic mod. been having lots of fun with it, especially with the planets and new seals here, its comparable to the alchemical cards mod in terms of quality and gameplay enhancement
also the card art for the spectral cards is literally better than the vanilla ones

i like the idea of oddities kinda just being general consumables
other consumables have themes (tarots mostly modify your deck, planet cards level up hands, spectral cards are really good or have big drawbacks) but oddities are just kinda whatever which i think fits with them being random objects
also i just have a huge soft spot for when games let you use random shit you'd find around the house to your advantage. like isaac and D&DG

You are totally right but i think you are underestimating the massive consistency hit by doubling your deck. Sure the clubs still exist in the deck but if I add 30 diamonds the chance of seeing them plummets

(5 cards destroyed for tag, Offering didn't increment the count at all despite destroying ~20 cards.)
