I'm pretty sure something is wrong with the Epic Rarity lately, as most mods that interact with it to reroll it, even with COMMIT, and also the Epic Booster Pack from MoreJokerPacks, and even the one Joker rerolling Loteria from Ortalab, they all just consider Epic as Rare.

Yup. the way Cryptid implemented Epic before rarity API handled it a bit weird, so creating an Epic joker had you set rarity to 1 when calling get_current_pool.
As to reduce how much work I needed to do changing values w/ injections (and also because this is pretty pointless to do in h the first place), Steamodded assumes that passing int rarity refers to vanilla rarities exclusively.

windows's "replace files with same name" option is a fraud and actually tries to merge the files. to actually replace you have to delete and reinstall

i dont think theres a limit for negative consumables

Well it has a few different things it can do
You still won't be able to take Negative stuff if you're overflowing in that slot. It mainly comes across in Vanilla due to the Negative Invisible glitch, but it comes across a lot more in Modded due to lack of requiring space within some Jokers.

if you're seeing a merge button on your jokers, you have a double sided joker with a blank other side somewhere
select that and the joker you want to merge it with, then you can actually click merge
main menu > mods > cryptid

Just realized that some LV3 Vouchers for Vanilla Sets don't exist yet...so:
- Doomsday Sphere (T3, Appears after Omen Globe): +0.1 Consumable Slots for each Spectral Card that you use this run (updates overtime). Spectral Cards can now naturally appear Negative.
- Satellite Scanner (T3, Appears after Observatory): All Hand Level-Ups get an extra 0.1x Chips and Mult added onto the values for each Planet Card of that Hand Level you have.
- Now You See Me... (T3, Appears after Illusion): Buying a Card from the Shop will now allow you to destroy 1 card of choice from your full deck. Shop Cards are now guaranteed to have Enhancements, Seals and Editions.
- Reboot (T3, Appears after Retcon): If you lose to a Boss Blind, spend 100$ to save yourself from Game Over, and win without cashing out. Cost multiplies by the Ante number when you reach Endless Mode.

Negative joker deck + retrigger left jokers for each right joker + retrigger jokers for each jolly sold makes for a very very long hand playout
Talisman can skip that for you
Talisman has an updated "skipping score" process that makes it easier to play hands without crashing...with the trade off that some uber late-game hands can take hours to score. No, I'm not joking.

Ah yeah I see what you mean by taking hours. I got Loopy (retriggers jokers once for each jolly sold) and the one that creates Jolly Joker at the beginning of round, for a nice 420 Jollies. With the one that does ^X mult for each Jolly.
And yeah it's not even getting through the computation (I disabled the animations ofc).

(Btw, all the T3 Alts will require you to get the T2 Alts first. This applies to ALL of them.)
- Money Maze (T3 Alt to Money Beanstalk): Earn 1$ of interest per 0.01$ instead of per 3$.
- Revocation (T3 Alt of Reboot): After being saved by Reboot, the next Boss Blind will be disabled. Does nothing if it'd negatively effect you (thanks a lot, Jen).
- Linthroglyph (T3 Alt of Asteroglyph): -1 Ante whenever you beat 2 Boss Blinds.
- Inkblot (T3 Alt of Curate): Negative Jokers are now near guaranteed (50-100x, you do that math), but also cost twice as much.
- Empty Past (T3 Alt of Universal Fabric): Whenever you redeem a Blank, randomly get either +1 Hand, Discard, Hand Size, Consumable Slot, or Joker Slot.
- Unlucky Visage (T3 of Doomsday Sphere): Spectral Cards no longer take any space, and appear 4x as often in the Shop.
- Moonbound (T3 Alt of Satellite Scanner): Hand Levels now level up an additional time for each Planet Card you have in your Consumable slots.
- Secret Stash (T3 Alt of Multistock): +1 Voucher Slot. During the shop, you have a temporary +1 Consumable Slots.
- Reroll Equilibrium (T3 Alt of Reroll Exchange): First 5 rerolls of a Shop will be free, reroll Booster Packs, and will also refresh the Voucher if you've already bought it. Last one can only happen once per Ante.
- Meaty Claws (T3 Alt of Dexterity): +1 Hands. Hands now give an additional +1$ after beating a Blind.
- Recycling Profiteer (T3 Alt of The 3 R's): +1 Discards. Discards now give an additional +1$ after beating a Blind.

Is pink the highest stake of difficulty? I see one called "brown" in my mod screen, but that's only if I have cryptid running by itself with no other mods like ceres.
ascendant is hardest for cryptid

Okay for some reason, beating the stake with the deck with ceres off then turning it back on does let me select the stakes I have unlocked.
yeah i had this same issue with grim a while back
i think having stakes from any other mod makes unlocking stall when you reach them
i meant to reproduce it properly for a bug report but i never got around to that oopsie
not many mods add stakes that i can recall so I'm not even sure if this is a bug in cryptid per se

talisman is included in cryptid and does this, but it won't make your score calculate much faster at the super extreme levels

the issue with install videos is that they get outdated quickly and are rarely taken down

I bought a buffoon pack on the misprint deck that had more card choices than available cards (1.82 out of 1), and now i can't skip even though there are no more cards to choose.
Exiting to main menu reverts to before choosing a card, and lets you skip

hello! Its my first time launching with cryptid and im having trouble getting past startup. By which i mean, it doesn't get past the load screen

I got infinite chips using infinite money and bull, played a hand, it didn't register that my hand was enough (despite being infinite chips and having many orders of magnitude more mult than chips required) and now crashes whenever I try to play another hand
Looking for some bug assistance. Been enjoying the cryptid mod but now cant seem to uninstall it properly. The config will generate for it even with no mod files installed. Really the only issue this is causing is it with some texture packs. Any info or help would be appreciated.

tags are expected to activate on the blind selection screen, and most tags do not activate until certain conditions are met

Hello, my game crashes sometimes when I try to open a pack with this mod. I have the following message on the lovely logs :

The problem disappears if I reroll the shop at least once before buying a pack.

its in mod settings, you should already have it since its a dependency of cryptid
then the saturn mod also has a setting for it which is slightly better because on the last hand it waits a bit to give you time to reposition jokers

How did you get the values so high? The only way I know is rigged copy-paste joker and then using multiply
Oil lamp and oil lamp. You have to use oil lamp on an oil lamp. If you are able to get multiply, then wait for a copy paste and make another multiply.
I forget what joker I had but it would give me a copy of a code card. It was a chance-based thing so what I did was rigged it and voila, unlimited multiplies

All thanks to the presence of another mod that gives a Vouchers that says "When a Joker is destroyed, create a Phantom copy of it"
And the Phantom works basically as Negative.
Soooooo- what i ended up with was-
Rigged Copy/Paste + Commit = Create Every Joker for free, 1 by one.
i used a card sleeve mod and got the equivelent of two wormhole decks, then i got gemini and exponentia as the two exotic jokers. i think my highest hand was e2.054e20 i lost to the pin when he debuffed me by ^8e512000. i got to ante 21 with 2 jokers

it might be something with your steammodded mods. try turning off more speeds. if multiple steammodded mods use the same function i'm pretty sure the game crashes or does something wrong. if you still want to speed up the game i recommend nopeus because it is even faster than more speeds and i know it works with cryptid and jens almanac (an addition to crypid that is even crazier)

i think it was an old one when the first error came up, but i updated it to 0.6.0
and it still crashed

are any of your folders nested (a folder inside a folder)
like mods inside other mods' respective folders?
like if you unzipped the files and you put the newly made folder in modded (ex. steammodded inside steammodded)
