I sometimes forget, that clubs and spades are the same because they look so different, so it would be cool if you made club and spade black and heart and diamond red if you have smeared joker.

Maintain the distinction in the event the player intends smear to be temporary; synchronizing the colors makes playing the tarot which alters the suit more difficult.
