still the case in 1.0.1f - same bug for Familiar, Grim and Incantation btw

yeah there was another report someone did that said Familiar, Grim, and Incantation had the same bug, hope this gets patched soon

wait you dont have to manually break it by playing the card

#

in hindsight that makes sense

No, I believe hanged man counts as breaking them

fair ledge

it does

Yeah, the wording here is open enough that Trading Card, Immolate, Hanged Man etc should trigger it

Trading Card and Hanged Man do trigger it; it's definitely a bug.

This bug, while not a super common occurrence, is imo fairly high impact. It cancels a ton of immediate value and potential value - those cards can no longer be broken otherwise. And it punishes cleverly interacting with the mechanics.

I just destroyed 5 glass cards with Immolate. It devastated the run and it's the only time I've ever lost trust. It's discouraging to see that it has been a known issue for over a year.

Is this issue tracked? Will there be a fix?

Its already fixed, the game hasnt gotten an update in a year

I wonder if there's some specific reason a more regular cadence of releases can't be followed. both frustrating and encouraging to hear

Couple of reasons probably. My best guesses are:

  • Thunk is a solo dev
  • Releasing consistently on console platforms is a pain (there's been delays of more than a month before)

That and I think delivering on this year's big update is most likely a priority over fixes because that's a commitment

#

and all things considered this is...somewhat niche?

thick stump
#

i thought this game was about hyperfocusing on the somewhat niche 🙂

Which I mean they dont want to spend time fixing bugs all day, they just wanted to create a cool game for their friends and stuff, so its partially understandable, I just dont like how they have the fixes but just havent made them public until the big update

the big update will be exciting though!

I just hope its released soon

I was hoping early 2025, and its already passed that mark, so now my hope is just before summer ends
