#Make the Score of your played last hand visible, even after adding it to the total :)

Hello, im new here. egg Maybe i have overlooked it and this feature is already included somewhere but... if not, here is my suggestion 😄

I dunno if anybody has suggest such a thing already, but when I play Balatro i only get a short time to view the score of my last hand before it gets added to my total score for this round.

I would appreciate a window where i could look at the score which my last hand that i played scored, without the addings of the total score of all my previous hands together for this round.

Like, a smaller window under the total score maybe?

But i also know that maybe this is a design choice, so the player needs to get a feeling for the hands and scoring. Maybe this feature could be optional and turned on or off.

Sorry if this suggestion already has been made. 🙂

Thanks for reading and this great game ❤️ balatrojoker

Great idea! I'd even take it a step further, a little thing you can click or mouseover to see your hand history within that blind would be pretty cool! It could just show which 1-5 cards you played, and the total score you ended up getting 🙂

I would stop at one step back for each hand type though and not show exactly the cards you played.

A feature like this could be a less controversial version of showing a preview of the score for the current hand.

Not entirely sure I want this feature either, but if I had to settle with one, this one would be way better. I would be ready to quit the game over the other being implemented, this I think I could live with.

Because it would always be a nag and temptation that one can take the easy way out, and if officially implemented by the dev would feed into this feeling further. It would also split speed running into another needless destination most likely. Actually having the score previously on would for me ruin the anticipations and thrill of doing high-risk-high-reward plays, among other things. Read the main thread about this if you are more curious about it, it has all been said plenty of times. Let people mod it if they want it so badly.

Well in a sense, but in practice, it still makes it easier to know what you score. It gives you more time to memories what you scored last, which over time makes it easier to remember and assess at least an average. As long as you made no changes to your Jokers it is easier to know what you will score, and it is still easier to if you do. It helps the most when you play the same Poke Hand over and over though, so in a sense it only makes what is easier to learn even easier, while only marginally helping with mixed hands. I did not mean that this was close to as easy to use as a score preview, just that both aid in assessing scoring, which apparently quite a few people find an issue with. Therefor I would not be oppose they get something implemented to help, as long as it is not perfect score preview.
