#trickster boss blind

Maybe a challenge mode where there is a chance of getting it, but I would make it a 1/10 chance of discards being played as a hand without using up a hand, and a 1/15 chance of a hand being discarded without taking up a discard
that would make it almost inconsequential
and you also still can't play around it
That's the point
It's just a rare chance of the much harder blind
And I mean as one of the poker chip challenge things
this is a massive issue with the idea
Not all builds have a counter like that
they don't all need one
There are tons of other blinds you can't play around you know
Drawing all cards face down?
for the first hand
All face cards are face down
of which you can just discard and then move on
Five of*
if you don't have many discards then maybe it could be a problem ¯_(ツ)_/¯
but even then, the remaining facedown cards can still be deduced as to what they might be
by sorting by rank or suit and checking the surrounding cards
hook just prevents you from preparing a second hand after playing your first
And it is impossible to play around
which isn't a problem if you oneshot the blind or play a hand that doesn't care so much about specific cards
it does counter certain builds, every blind does that
but it's not impossible to play around
If you don't like it, you don't like it, no reason to shoot down other people's ideas so rudely
it's an objectively bad idea to have a solely luck based blind with no counterplay
Also so you are aware, opt in challenges don't need to be so obvious to work around
You would hate LBAL and a lot of triple A games then
yeah I don't like that game very much
you're correct
i don't see how this is particularly relevant
i mean yeah people have preferences
You are complaining about RNG based gameplay
LBAL is exclusively RNG lategame
in a game where most blinds have tangible counterplay that isn't luck based, yes
it would be natural to follow this pattern
Which is why there should be some luck based ones as an opt-in, it's called variety
why don't you just roll a d15 and discard the hand if it lands on a 15
you can opt in to doing that right now
it's the same gameplay experience
That would take a hand
yeah it's an opt in challenge it's supposed to be hard isn't it
What happens if you have zero hands and roll a 15 then?
you lose ¯_(ツ)_/¯
By your logic, what happens?
My idea is it gets discarded anyways because it doesn't take a discard or a hand
it's stupid because it's purely luck based
I give up, clearly you won't even hear out my idea simply because it involves RNG, maybe either get better at good faith debates or leave chats like this?
there's nothing to hear out
there's no nuance it's just
1/15 chance to lose your hand
sucks to be you if that happens
This will be very fun with oops all sixes
does that work on boss blinds
I think it doubles every chance
Or reduce to 25% chance?
(Btw hand and discard will not be used if force to discard)

changing the odds isn't going to do much
it's moreso just the fact that you can't play around it
what if it only activated if you played a 5 card hand 🤔
When playing a hand, there is a 10% chance per card played in one hand to being discarded instead (no discard and hand used).
per card played is still a lot
3 cards is 30% 4 cards is 40%
would screw over a lot more builds than it should
yea
But you don't lose anything (discard and hand)
But your card is just got discard
oh do you mean the individual cards have a 10% chance to be discarded
i thought it'd add up for the chance to discard whole hand
¯_(ツ)_/¯
