#Refresh rate of Monitor changes when game opens
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I'm not sure, but is this how it should be? for stable operation of the game
I suppose the game engine uses frame time for speed and animation so that 144 Hertz will give acceleration more than 2 times the required animation speed even on the in-game x1 speed settings
or do you mean changing the screen refresh rate setting directly in the operating system?
The game is framerate independent and it runs at 144 fps on my dev machine, so this seems like a bug
how did you discover this? are you somehow able to see differences in framerate at framerates so high a blink lasts 6 to 24 entire frames
fps counter most likely
I hear the audio and visual (black screen) cue my monitor makes when the resolution/refresh rate changes when I start the game. And the refresh rate is very obviously lower (cards not moving as smoothly on screen etc.)
Have you tried both full screen and borderless windowed?
So with borderless windowed there is no cue that my refresh rate/resolution changed but the frames are still lower (but better than before)
Issue has been resolved now. Thanks for the help everyone
What was the solution?
Didn't realize there was an AMD update today 🤦♂️ . So sorry for any time wasted 😢
