#Soul Deck

It's not stupid, because
"If you start with legendary joker, you pretty much have all it takes to win" is the concept, I believe
so I don't necessarily think it's balanced to already start with a legendary joker
what if you get the one that disables every boss blind effect?
what about it
that is terrible to start with
it only gets good at like, ante 5
and even then if your in the demo that's literally the fucking end of the game
It's pretty good though? Not sure what do you mean
in full game you will have more boss blinds and they're random, not fixed
so you don't have to worry about any specific counter, you just make build that reaches the score needed
or 2-4
you can't beat ante 1?
i can
because if you lose on ante one you just didn't get the hand you wanted
on the boss blind
if 1 out of 5 jokers is useless on ante 1, does not mean it's balanced to add this deck
Unlock Condition: Obtain every Legendary Joker atleast once.
The Soul gives a random Legendary.
RANDOM.
So you'd need atleast ~8 Souls to unlock this deck.
I feel that this is balanced.
So what you can just restart run until spectral skip, then see if there's soul and use it, then restart the run
In my eyes, balanced does not mean "after 5 hours of boring activity you will get this broken ass deck that makes you insta win"
Lets say.. that it doesn't count if the run isn't completed.
And it's a tarot card, not a spectral.
You never saw the Playtest? We also don't have the full game.
In the playtest, its a tarot.
I'm talking about the playtest. You expect me to look at the tarot card part of the wiki?
you can still win the run after getting the joker from spectral skip
I am providing a proof that it's a spectral now, and it's not even in the demo so I don't think playtest info is relevant?
You've seen the wiki. It's relevant.
And alot of people talk about the Wiki/Playtest in suggestions.
this deck has the same flaw as 3 other decks which were removed: foil deck, holographic deck, and polychrome deck
it's boring
starting with a legendary joker makes legendary jokers feel less rare, which is not good
plus there is a silimar deck: silver deck, where you start with a random joker
ngl i feel like getting all legendaries should be an achivement at best
yeah
no deck
mainly cuz i wont enjoy playing it
free legendary sounds nice, but what's the point of the joker being legendary if it's given to you...
it's meant to be rare
you're comparing apples to oranges
im fine with legendaries only coming from the soul
a deck that gives legendary jokers ruins the rarity of the legendary jokers outright
it's like how in the past there were foil, holographic, and polychrome decks
those ruined the rarity of card editions, especially the polychrome edition
a deck should give an advantage to a player for a drawback, or add some extra benefit for a drawback
well you're not Localthunk
you aren't either tho...
you think i don't know that?
one of the brand new decks is the plasma deck #🎙・server-chat message
it balances chips and mult out but has a x4 base blind size
this gives a benefit that is quite unique
and is pretty strong
while there are decks like red deck blue deck yellow deck
those basic decks do need to exist (they give small benefits with basically no drawback)
this actually changes some effects of cards you know
for example credit card lets you spend to $-20
which is actually now half as effective with this effect (as you earn and spend double)
nothing else changes tho
yes
this technically counts as a cash source, as it gives you an extra $20. so its doubled too.
no...
credit card increases the LIMIT where you can spend money (-20 instead of 0), but doesn't physically GIVE you money, so it is left unchanged
nuh uh
you get to spend an extra 20 dollars
thats like gaining 20 dollars
so i count it
huh?
"so i count it" doesn't justify your answer
credit card doesn't grant you any money, it only allows you to spend more
as your proposed money deck doubles cash income and doubles prices of shop items, credit card will still be left unchanged
you can only spend more money by getting more money
so this proves my answer
setting the limit lower is not spending money, so this proves my answer
it allows you to spend more but doesn’t grant you any money
local said he was removing rng based decks anyway
besides erratic but yea ur right rng decks are being removed
I would like to see this deck with a really big downside (maybe -2 hands/all cards are faced down)
i dont like the idea of getting a free legendary joker, even with drawbacks, cuz that removes the satisfaction of finding one in your runs
evident in the now removed edition decks, which made editions less rare and provided no new strategy
No. If you can overcome the drawback, then it's still very satisfying.
It would just be the new black deck(the one that gives +1 joker slot for -1 hand and discard), and almost everyone dislike the black deck. Unlike silver deck that can have a random joker from 120 jokers, this deck only has 5 possible jokers, which will easily bored the player once they try all the legendaries.
Then again, mod support will eventually be a thing, and it will add an unholy amount of probably everything.
using mod support as a justification reason to add a deck into a main game isn’t the best reason imo
