I would play in English
HOWEVER
If I were to do something like translate the game to Spanish, I would obviously play in Spanish
Mostly to see if there's mistakes and things that need rewording or fixing
I do this with 100% Orange Juice where like
I would play it in English, but since I'm the Spanish translator for it I just use the tl

English isn't my native language but I prefer playing that kind of game in english because wikis/discord/reddit are english communities so it's easier.
Like, slay the spire has a good french translation but I've not used it a lot. I didn't really want to learn the names of cards and relics in two languages.
That's just my personal experience obviously, most people would prefer a translation in their own language
