#Glass Cards

Definitely a C pick
probably a mix of B and C
i dont find myself taking glass cards often, but when i do its a fun time
unless you have DNA or lots of Death
the risk of breaking is balanced enough where I really only use them in the last few antes
i think the game being longer will balance them out really well
they are only usefull on the last 2 matches and otherwise useles
if used for 2x score: very risk/reward. you'd put it on a card you'd like to use, but then it breaks...
if used for deck thinning: you'd put in on a "bad card" that you'd never play, so it doesn't break because it's never played…
I might be wrong for the deck thinning thing, you'd rather have a bad card that may break (and doubles score!) than a bad card
glass cards are pretty strong
but whenever i take them
i alawys try to avoid playing them to prevent it from breaking
which can lead to a loss if not careful enough
Unless you have DNA, which has its own cost to use, you're risking destroying a resource you spent when you pick/buy a justice card. Taking a glass card early and not using it has opportunity cost, using it early is a waste usually and will sometimes break it.
The opportunity cost of other tarots/money in shop makes them balanced, the only reason to use them is highscore chasing, or desperation.
and ended up having to reset my bus to save my run
it was a painful moment to play a AKQJ10 straight with a bus ;-;
glass is ironically a double edged sword
it's great, but it changes gameplay dynamic
I would maybe say somewhere between B and C in my limited opinion? Getting that tarot in the last few antes really can help turn the final round around
Same. Not sure how the 'keep glass card and limit your hand options or risk playing it' choice will play out in the full version. X2 is huge when your final goal is getting 50k chips but that's just the demo
I feel like I've been bit in the ass more by hoarding glass cards and desperately trying to play around them, than I've gotten successful runs using them
And, correct me if I'm thinking wrong here, but that effect would be doubly worse in the full release, seeing as you'd have to hoard the glass cards for far longer than you do in the demo
On one hand, "skill issue" is fair, but on the other, I think that's a somewhat good indicator that it's at least balanced/risky enough to require a decent bit of thinking ahead and planning. Can't just glass card your way to a victory.
between b and c imo, almost never use glass cards when I'm just doing a normal run and going for a win, maybe if I get to the final boss and have the glass card I'd use it, otherwise it's never needed when you have a good run going
maybe if you get glass and dna or 8ball going early it could be a build of it's own, but I never rly got anything like this
Unless you have DNA or really lucky pulls for tarots, its not exactly easy to get a glass run going so i don’t think its overpowered at all especially with them breaking every now and then
I think another option that isn’t buffing or nerfing them is changing their consistency
Maybe if Glass cards had x1.5 Multiplier, Justice could turn two cards into Glass
So it’s easier to get more Glass Cards, but they’re worse individually
Not saying I think this needs to happen, it’s just another option to consider
I feel like the effect should be at least slightly different from Poly
I mean they can break
But I see your point
It's definitely a B or C pick
Tbh most of the time you avoid glass cards before the final boss
And they tend to be more of a I'm screwed otherwise I play this card
I’ve never gotten good value from them before, to me they seem pretty bad
I’ve obviously seen those high scoring videos but that’s just to rare of a case
🇪 Yes - they are too powerful and make me less inclined to pick them
