It’s far too weak. The current Money Tag gives $15 when you beat the boss. This gives $2-6 most times. Even with Burglar, Grabber, and a one-shot hand, it’d be $14 which is still worse than Money Tag.

#

This’d need to be x5 or even x6 to be worth it imo. Even if it was as good as Money Tag, Money Tag isn’t used too often beyond the very start of a run so this still wouldn’t see much use

#

Remember, you need to skip a blind in order to get this tag, so it needs to be at least equal in value to the blind in order for someone to take it if they’re trying to play well. A (skippable) blind can give $3-4 from the blind, $0-3 from hands, and $0-5 from interest if they have no jokers or vouchers that affect it. That’s a maximum of $12 already. Why would someone ever decide to get a maximum of $6 when they could instead get a maximum of $12? Even if they have no cash on hand for interest, it would still be $7 maximum if it’s on the big blind while giving an extra shop

bruh i never get close to spending that much money ;-;

#

but looking at it like that, true its very weak, averaging at 12-10$ its not going to make much difference later on and even kinda at early

glad hatch
#

It doesn’t average 10-12, it averages 0-6 (weighted towards 4) if the player doesn’t have Grabber or Burglar

#

i talking after multiplying by 3

#

oh wait im bad at math

#

yeah its going 4x3 = 12 and 3x3 for 9

glad hatch
#

It would be a bonus 0-6 on top of the base, whatever that happens to be

late hearth
#

most of times you either gonna get 9, and that is too low

glad hatch
#

It’s more worthwhile to look at how much the Tag is adding, not how much total money you’re getting

#

playing 2 in a row and winning gives more money, like small to big goes 3+3+int (~6), and 4+3+int(~7) =6+7+int= 13+int, big to boss then its even worse getting

#

so skippin small to big, would give you only 4+3x3= 13 + 1 interest

#

it would only give 1 interest bonus, intead of 2 interests, so you would end up losing money

#

(and a shop)

#

and that is not to talk that if you barely getting by on chips side, skipping a blind could hurt

#

so its not worth risking going for it, and winning less or little money extra

#

(well but im kinda stupid, that is my conclusion)

That's the max you can get

I’m just going off what’s in the demo, so no blue deck or nacho tong. You also forgot that you can get Blueprint on Burglar. However, that’s irrelevant to my post as I wasn’t saying the absolute maximum, just the standard hand amount along with the usual bonuses you might get, Burglar and Grabber

#

If you need three jokers, a voucher, a tag, and a specific deck just to make a tag worth it, then it ain’t good

eager frigate
#

But you also have a point

#

This is kinda a bad tag

#

I perfer this as a joker instead

In my first post, the one you replied to, I didn’t mention maximum at all. Just two separate values. In my longer post, I did say maximum, as in the maximum of their current build. The absolute maximum will very very rarely matter, so I’m looking at it from the perspective of a roughly standard run and the maximum they could expect to receive from the blind vs the tag within that run

You mean message?

glad hatch

No? I mean, if you prefer that term, then I guess? They’re synonyms, they mean the same thing. So I didn’t “mean” message

eager frigate
#

I perfered words like this

glad hatch
#

Eh, they’re synonyms. Just up to preference which you use

Preference is always a thing, people aren’t ever gonna come up with one unified set of words to describe everything, especially with how garbage English is
