If i have the option for both I take both most of the time but also egg is cooler and temperance so I would pick egg most of the time

Golden joker is obviously the safer pick. Egg has higher upside, but Temperance is only one of 22 possible Tarot cards.

If I'm going for win streak and playing to not die, I take Golden.

In contrast, if I'm playing to have fun and experience a story worth writing home about, I generally take Egg.

Golden joker is my most picked joker so golden. I think egg could be cooler if there were more things that work with sell value like a better ritual dagger. It’s weird but I also feel that hermit shows up more often.

golden makes more sense even as a buy sell in the long run simply because golden joker generate 1 more $ over egg
but temperance on egg is a feels good moment for sure

The fact that golden pays out over time lets you stay flexible. Egg having temperance and dagger isn't worth it compared to consistency. I can pick up a nice joker while holding onto golden, but I need to cash out on egg if I run into a negative joker or a polychrome early in the run.

I think ultimately it'll depend on the number of synergies that will be possible with Egg Joker on full release

because while golden joker is so much more preferable just for the steady cash income that it offers, which the egg requires purchased tarot cards to only possibly achieve, the egg already synergizes with the dagger, giving it one of its strongest justifications as it is; if the egg had a few more justifying factors, then it could become a viable choice over even golden joker

which is to say, some people are already willing to select egg over golden joker on the basis of temperance and the dagger, even in the face of a constant +4$ per round. In full release, if there are more justifying factors, it could stay exactly as it is right now, but nonetheless be much more of a justifiable pick over golden joker.
As it is now though, golden joker is clearly the stronger, more consistent pick.

Temperance is insaaaaaaaane with a scaled up egg. And when you're done with it, sell for even more money or sacrifice it to the dagger for a large, laaaarge amount of near-static mult.

Golden barely getting over Egg for me, but they both outshine almost every other eco joker there is, bar randomly hoping Superposition spits out a well timed Hermit.

Egg is very nice to have early on and carry all the way through up to like Ante 4 or until you get a very good joker in it's stead.

With Golden Joker generating more $ than Egg even before factoring in interest I don’t see how one would buy Egg

You can’t guarantee Temperance and besides in most other situations it’s not an useful tarot (except maybe for being a free $1 or such).

Maybe in a longer game you’ll accrue more expensive Jokers which can make Temperance better late game. But in the demo I don’t think so
