fantom's preview is incompatible with talisman
i'm not sure about amulet though, so try replacing talisman with such
a talisman fork for adding support for number-"table" comparison - frostice482/amulet
if that doesn't work then you likely just can't use them together

you have 33 mods, and at least some of them (talisman and cryptid) are painfully outdated. i'd start by updating everything, and then if it's still crashing, narrow down the cause of the crash to a single mod or a few mods. then we'll be more capable of helping you

I got into modding today, set up everything right according to Zaino’s current tutorial, but for some reason no matter what, drawing cards is just forever slow and a bit delayed compared to vanilla
Even if I just launch the game with lovely and streammodded, drawing cards is always inherently slower

those are the things that unlock None

- play hands and use discards to get rid of all your cards without winning the blind or running out of hands. normally that causes a game over in vanilla balatro, but it won't in cryptid

there's a difference between lovely (which is the injector you mean) and LÖVE (the game engine balatro uses)

Is something up with cryptid right now? Every instance of “chips” or “cards” is replaced by “chipnil” and “cardnil”, and jokerdisplay isn’t working at all
the pluralizing doing nil is a known issue cryptid has with newer smods than the latest version was made for
cryptid doesn't have jokerdisplay support anymore

your talisman folder might be nested (it has a single folder inside instead of the mod files) but I also recommend changing Talisman for Amulet
as in a balatro mod called amulet you mean?

DeckCreator hasn't been updated in a while - downgrade SMODS or drop DeckCreator.

While playing modded balatro, I can't get achievements and even my winstreak doesn't count. I have my achievements enabled in mod config
im having a bit of trouble with the hypers stuff mod, i was able to play balatro fine before but with this mod when i hover over any card the game instantly crashes

the mod has not been updated in 4 months and the creator has not made a single contribution to any github repo since february so i wouldn't expect it to work honestly

draw each individual frame as a separate sprite, in order on the same row
then you need to create a separate atlas for the animated joker, specifying that it's an animated atlas as well as how many frames the animation has. then smods will handle the rest, and you can assign the card to the first frame of its animation as if it was a non-animated joker

i think those unlocks are hardcoded in a really weird way that causes them to break with mods, i think the interest vouchers have similar issues sometimes
i shall disable them for my next runs

I'm hoping to find some answers on this, but I'm trying to help my blind cousin play Balatro with Balatro Access via BlackHole in our Archipelago multiworld session. The mods appears to load correctly, as I can connect and begin a run while connected and see options in the store for other players, but only when hovering over the card, I receive this crash. If anyone knows of a workaround for this I would be forever grateful.

try using "bypass restrictions" instead of "enabled"
out of curiosity, using a save editor disables achievements. so what exactly does it do to the save file to disable achievements? like, is there a variable inside the save file that controls achievements and the ability to earn them?
earning an achievement is gonna be difficult, since i'd either have to win a gold stake (i only have purple stake on Abandoned Deck) run or play a flush with 5 wild cards
oh, and the completionist achievements, but that's for much later
It's actually not editing the save file per se that disables achievements

the mod path in thunderstore is not the same as where mods are loaded from in steamodded
balatro mods are loaded from C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Balatro\Mods

im using the thunderstore mod manager to load my mod, and idk how to get that path

because anything that uses that already assumes it is in there
pretty much all loading uses relative paths
unless you use NFS loading for some reason
^ if it's just for an atlas, sound effect, or shader, the path automatically starts in the relevant asset directory for your mod
using thunderstore or not also doesnt change where the mod is loaded from, they still need to be moved to the expected mod directory for when loading the game

regardless, i would assume thunderstore copies the mods to the latter folder upon running the game and then immediately deletes them for some reason

i think the thing that matters the most for the clean effect is the really high pop_in_rate
note: main_start is redundant, you can now use the {element:} control to put UI elements anywhere in a description, not just the start or end

for reference, smods isn't updated on thunderstore because it doesn't support the current versioning

theres also --disable-console (windows only) disables the console and --mod-dir <dir> which sets the mod directory

that specific dependency for steamodded is present in a lot of mods but it is incorrect and only used to work because of a bug

so i was tryna setup a multiplayer game where we only have access to spectral cards and spectral packs (we saw it in rarran's video) and we stumbled upon 2 problems. first ill say what mods we were using: steamodded, deck creator, banner, multiplayer and some other little mods that SHOULDNT have anything to do with the rest of this. so, first problem: when i made a deck in deck creator and shared it with my friend (it was a deck where i only allowed spectral cards to spawn in shop and BANNED every booster pack except the spectral packs), once we started our multiplayer game and got to the first shop, there was a buffoon pack and a standard pack. the other shops also had other booster packs even tho i banned them. i even made sure and tried it in singleplayer and sure enough, the other packs werent showing up. now, my second problem is with banner; we wanted to do a draft so we downloaded banner and got our cards, but once we started the game, my friends game crashed (i was hosting)

banning full sets can also be done in code without banner

multiplayer requires a specific version to be used for all ranked players, i assume because the mod is known to work on that version

hi, my game wont launch (through any launcher, steam, bmm, or multiplayer) when i have multiplayer mod enabled. the game window opens for a few seconds as a black screen and then closes with no crash log. disabling multiplayer lets me launch fine with other mods. everything is up to date and nothing has been changed since yesterday when it was working. ive tried reinstalling multiplayer and it didnt seem to change anything.

you can use debug plus to spawn in the relevant jokers on a gold stake run and then instawin that run

alright, i need some help with finishing the code for a joker. the idea for this joker is that you gain +1 hand size per every 4 wild cards in your full deck. the way i have this coded right now, however, is that every time the joker "scores", you gain +1 per group of 4 wild cards in your deck. my brain is a bit fried at the moment so maybe i'm missing something obvious, but how can i change it doesn't increase your hand size repeatedly after each score? do i need something that checks what the current hand size is?

anyway yeah context.before happens every hand, and you don't need to update hand size every hand, you need to update it when the number of wild cards has changed
things that add wild cards to deck include adding wild cards to the deck shocker i know and turning non-wild cards into wild cards, so you'll want those contexts instead
