I mean for a balatro mod its pretty old
The game released less than a month prior
The mod was also created before pretty much any of the really major changes to the modding api, so theres a lot of outdated stuff still
is there a mod to calculate the score of the current hand or is that a multiplayer thing, I remember seeing in a balatro mp video
there's one built into multiplayer, and there's a different one called "divvy's preview"
both of them are not compatible with modded content by default, but if you're just playing vanilla or multiplayer they should be fine
thanks, it worked, but I noticed something, it shows the score and the money the hand would generate
the thing is, it seems to know 100% if the lucky cards are gonna proc or not
I think the multiplayer one shows minimum and maximum score
there should be a toggle for the minimum/maximum behavior in the settings for divvy's preview
it doesnt show any info other the "a lovely mod"
I installed this one manually because my bmm is acting up again
I reinstalled earlier today and it fixed the issue, then I got another issue and reinstalled but this time it didnt work

How do I get my save on android without rooting my phone. Surely there's some way.
I tried Google Takeout. I don't see it anywhere in any of the files it downloaded. There's gotta be another way.
I just beat all decks on gold stake + all challenge decks and I do not want a glitch that wipes my save to happen yet again, but I'm not going through the risk and process of rooting my phone just for Balatro. Surely there's gotta be a way that works.

Jimbo keeps spawning even though i banned him. Id like to do a spectral only run on multipalyer (im using ghost deck)
jimbo cant be banned since it's the joker pool's default
Do you know if their is a mod to change spawn rates
if you want to do a spectral only run get debugplus and do eval G.GAME.joker_rate = 0 in the console
there are probably mods that have this feature but ive never used them
you can also replace joker with tarot or planet or spectral

this is an incorrect steamodded dependency that only worked before because of a bug, just remove the dependencies section from unblind's json file

I also have JokerDisplay and saturn, if thats relavant.
Problem is, I can't create the exact playthrough.
I disbaled all except some spectral card.
for shop rerolls I see Joker and strenth cards appear.
for wraiths and legendary I also get joker.
what is the way you configure it like they have it in that video?

I see, rarran has several videos like this agains other players, all of those videos are same, only selected things show up in the shop. no "joker" for empty slots. I thought it was the banner mod doing that. In the video description banner mod was mentioned, nothing else.

the deck effect is needed in this case to set the shop rates of things. normally spectrals can't show up in the shop at all, which banner by itself can't change

i also don't recommend editing jokerforge files, the code generation is not meant to be readable and doesn't have good practices for normal development

no, you don't directly replace them with that entire code, you need put that code before the returns and then replace what I said earlier with count

rarity needs to be a string, otherwise it references a global variable that doesn't exist

Hey yall, I think my game is having a hard time with a specific save file after uninstalling smods, is there a way to fix this without resetting the profile that the save file is on, currently the game just crashes when i click play on the one profile
also now my ankh mod isnt working, did smods mess something up that i dont know about

Yeah I think I figured it out, I had a mod installed but turned off with smods, and I forgot to reactivate the mod before uninstalling it and smods, maybe that was causing the crash
and now it says this even though i do have 0.9.0 lovely correctly installed

Does anyone have a method of obtaining your mobile/android save file without root access? I tried Google Takeout and it didn't work. I really need my save. I've obtained C+ and almost C++, and I really don't want a save-wipe glitch to happen again. Anyone got anything?

it's related to the mobile edition of Balatro. If I were to ask the same question about the PC save, it'd be considered a Balatro question. I need help with my Balatro save and have no where else I can go to get an answer.
what i'm saying is that "android person who doesn't know balatro" is more likely to have an answer to your question than "balatro person who doesn't know android", and this server mostly has the second kind

no actually this is penumbra's fault, it tries to load the "jukebox.lua" file but that just. doesn't exist
you should still update your smods and lovely but that won't fix the crash

rules aside, the actual mobile release version is sufficiently different from the steam version that basically no precedent for modding it even exists

my parents' cats do look pretty similar tho (although the gray one is closer to aure's and the orange one is long-haired)
smods is fine (although i'd recommend using the latest release instead of downloading from the green code button), but the lovely update is not installed correctly. take some time to read through the lovely injector github's README file, it explains how to install it (hint: it's not like any of the other mods)

I'll try to dig into how penumbra works later, but in the meantime I think if you install an older version of penumbra (from before 1.1) then it should work. this crash is probably related to some new feature from the jukebox

I tried to download version 1503 and 1531, but they seems to be missing when I launch Balatro
as with any software, there's always bugs. but both of these versions can run fine, you probably didn't install something right

heres my mod list
so quick question. downloaded the utdr mod and anytime i play Any hand, it crashes and tells me this. no clue why this is happen as i have like 0 other mods at all? just the utdr deck skins and debug really. i disabled both debug and my one (1) modded joker i have that ive been testing and it has not fixed it

you can get the same thing with cartomancer
I suggest trying to disable them 1 by 1 and see which one impacts performance the most (honestly decent chance it's steamodded itself, though neatojokers is also a suspect)

How do I end up with the mod button on the steam deck? I believe I have everything installed in its right place correctly. Although when I go to launch the game it’s just regular balatro. I changed the launch code in the properties tab and it’s still showing regular

ok i was gonna say thunderstore is very old and not worth using, but bmm isn't great either
anyway yes, one of the issues with bmm in particular is that it causes problems when installing smods pretty frequently

I may have found an issue on linux - For long animations, (greater than around 130 frames, as far as I can tell) , if Pixel Smoothing is on, the cards appear solely like this, instead of displaying any animation. I'm not using linux myself, though, which makes any further testing difficult

Aha, fixed it. Deleting and reinstalled Steamodded got the save file out of the multiplayer state, which let Axy start a singleplayer run.

it varies depending on where your steam folder actually is (it depends on how you installed steam), but once you find the steamapps folder you can definitely follow the rest of the path that klonade gave you
afaik thats the default when using whatever package manager your distro comes with
though i guess some people install it through flatpak
either way, you can always just browse installed files for any game to get to the steam directory

in the past i was using cryptid and I injected lovely to make that work tbh I have completely forgotten how I did it and now i want to not have either I have removed cryptid but every time I launch lovely is still there no matter what and after like maybe 30mins of playing it seems to make balatro slower and slower until it crashes
I just wanna remove lovely and or fix it so i can play without this problem

is your mods folder completely empty outside of the lovely folder?

im mostly asking about the empty mods folder because if you used the balatro mod manager you might have the bmm-compat folder

if you want to remove lovely, remove that file, because that file is lovely
(and if you ever want to reinstall or update lovely, remember that folder so you can put the new version.dll there. lots of people forget that)

Yes, you need that separate mods folder. That is also where you install the actual mods (so next to steamodded)

ba, i hate doing this so much but im running into another issue, i tried trouble shooting myself but i downloaded the JokerDisplay mod and extracted the zip and moved it into the Appdata and Mods file for balatro but im not seeing it in game as a mod i can run
there's a few things you could have done wrong here, please send a screenshot of the jokerdisplay folder including the address bar
also your mods folder actually
theres nothing in the Joker display folder, i didnt notice that before

so having a newer version wouldnt effect it, okay, im just trying to run crypted and getting a crash from it, i downloaded both talisman and crypted at the same time and tried to run the game, got a crash, removed crypted and it ran so im just trouble shooting the issue, i downloaded and reinstalled crypted and made sure i got the correct zip and everything but its still crashing

by default yes, but you can go into steamodded's settings and re-enable achievements

changing versions in the middle of a run can lead to all sorts of unexpected behavior, you shouldn't do that
you should have seen a big warning about that when continuing the run
