doing the unlock requirements for a joker summons a negative version of that joker (i.e discarding a royal flush spawns a negative brainstorm, playing an all gold card hand spawns a negative golden ticket ect.)

ive got a question about mixing mods, im using JokerDisplay by nh6574, and mixing it with all the Pokermon mods i can find. the jokerdisplay works perfect with vanilla balatro but works like half the time with the other mods. does mixing "utility" mods with gameplay cause issues or did i do something wrong?
JokerDisplay is opt-in for displaying info about a given mods' Joker.

yeah JokerDisplay by itself (if i'm not mistaken) only displays info about vanilla jokers
it works with some of the modded jokers and only sometimes, so thats my confusion

I guess it's just a question of how busted you'd want it to be. X2 sell value really just means it sells for (usually) exactly what it buys for in the first place. For a Legendary there's room to just make it give a little more money than what the buy cost is, and so the player could just keep buying and selling, only limited by reroll costs, assuming they keep an open joker slot I guess.

yeah, such things have been done. I once made a "Survival mode" mod that reblances ante scaling around a game lasting until ante 16 instead of 8
If the scaling is static, then yeah
If it's like "on ante 1 this gets 2 per round to itself on ante 2 this gets 4 per round to itself" it gets blurry

Balatro shaders are GLSL with some slight modifications. There's not really any balatro specific guides, but by diving into GLSL you'll quickly figure out the changes in syntax Balatro/Love2D uses

Well my other idea is that instead of retriggers what if it was x1 mult gain when a king with a gold seal or is a gold card scores and if it fulfills all three conditions it's ×3
which means it gets checked everytime enhancement are checked
This is a bit more balanced and a bit closer to canio in terms of requirements
so even though my check is 4 very simple conditions, the sheer amount of checks it does causes a significant drop in fps

I'm afraid that's actually a smods issue
i was not aware the whole challenge data gets stored into G.GAME
I manually replaced the save files generated by the mod, and it threw the error mentioned above. This should cause by the same behavior as if I had selected it through the UI.
that one is different, scoring calculation is a newer smods feature that the mods probably just isn't accounting for
the first one is a smods bug that is otherwise completely meaningless because G.GAME.challenge_tab does not have a proper use case
